The Grandma seemed so bitter towards them - no love, just seeing them as a burden to her and her son.

Elasticbandstand · 18/09/2007 22:25

i wondered,
is it regular?

am i right

controlfreaky2 · 18/09/2007 22:25

Elasticbandstand · 18/09/2007 22:26

unbelievable attitude of grandma, after all thsi time

controlfreaky2 · 18/09/2007 22:28

sorry but she is a complete cow. so cold and hard.
wonder what her childhoos was like though... grimmer than grim i expect...... that vis part of the whole tragedy.
what do you think the boys chances are of being good dads?? small i'd say.

MrsMuddle · 18/09/2007 22:28

Jason has a wee boy. I hope he breaks the cycle of being a bad father.

Elasticbandstand · 18/09/2007 22:30

i agree, small chance of really being a good dad, it is not a bed of roses, hope he can break cycle but seems to be too fond of booze too

lisad123 · 18/09/2007 22:30

one of them seems like his doing good, trying to make it straight.
real shame they seemed like nice kids

lisad123 · 18/09/2007 22:31

little boy isnt his, its his girlfriends boy.

Pinkchampagne · 18/09/2007 22:32

He seemed to be really trying to be a good father figure for the little boy.
I felt so sorry for them.

Found this really difficult to watch.

Pinkchampagne · 18/09/2007 22:33

It was disturbing viewing

It was so sad the way they turned out, but I guess it could have been a whole lot worse At least they had a loving home at their aunts for a few years.

Sossy · 18/09/2007 22:38

The grandma seemed mean because she was scared. The dad was mean and useless because he didn't know any better, he didn't know how to communicate with his children. He loved them though. It's wrong to say the drunk driver killed a whole family, he didn't. He killed one member. It was the remaining family that killed it. Heart breaking, I agree.

Kaloo20 · 18/09/2007 22:45

Wasn't it sad. The boys were given no love car or attention during their most formative and heartbreaking years.

Father was a old soak and grandmother was so uncaring it was incredible.

Budababe · 18/09/2007 22:48

Watched it too. Very sad.

The gran reminded me so much of my granny for some reason! Although mine more killed me with kindness! But she looked like her - esp the constant ciggie and the apron thingie and head-scarf.

It was such a shame that the dad couldn't/wouldn't see that they were crying out for his attention and love.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 18/09/2007 22:49

The GM was a shit stirrer, the poor lad had only just dropped by to see his twin and as soon as pissed of this parish returns homw she launches into I have never been so insulted.

Then the poor wee lad was left trying to defend himself in front of his father a drunk, who had rolled in from the WMC not from work.
