As a pp has said, I think corrie have a duty to viewers to make sure that yasmeen gets justice.
I’m worried that Geoff will survive and make her life hell.
Also, how do you pronounce her name as I’ve heard on corrie some actors say yas-min and some say yas-meen?

I said this previously (I think) I hope Geoff doesn’t get the house. Is he on the mortgage? I can’t remember.

I just don't want him seen as the jolly, amiable victim. Hopefully Aliya will return and do some digging for evidence.

Although the scriptwriters haven't caught up with lockdown, I think it's good timing that the storyline's showing during lockdown. There must be loads of women identifying with Yasmeen at the moment.

Jeff is such a nasty piece of work.

I'm mildly surprised that only Aliyah and Ryan have been pushing for the truth or showing concern. I'm pissed off that Cathy isn't being more pushy, and that Tim and Sally are so blind to what is happening literally next door.

It's a gripping storyline and well acted.

I wonder if that was scheduled to be a 7.30 or 8.30 episode originally? The 7.30 ones seem to have some answers in the 8.30!

I was really surprised that Eileen wasn’t more concerned when she saw Geoff locking Yasmine in the house while she was on the other side of the door. I know she doesn’t know what is going on but it did look awful and then she went to the pub and didn’t say anything. Lots of people have seen odd things but they haven’t put it all together and it will be interesting to see if that comes out now and helps Yasmeen so she doesn’t go to prison.

I hope Yasmeen is able to give lots of details about his abuse of her to the police. He confessed to using escorts and was spectacularly nasty to her. Was he just expecting her to take it ? Again ? Then come back for more, again ?

He's the one that's broken her down to a shell of her former self, then criticises her for being a shell. He was throwing chips at her which landed on the floor. She picked them up and he laughed at her for picking up scraps like a dog. What was he trying to achieve from this ? I realise it's abusive and people like that hate themselves but why break some one down then criticise them for being broken down ?

Just watched last night's episode and I can't remember when I've seen anything so upsetting. I feel quite sick. Having never been subjected to any sort of behaviour like Geoff"s I cannot imagine how it must feel watching it to anyone has. My heart is still pounding.
Well done to the actors and writers. Let's hope it helps even just a little to highlight the problem of this kind of hideous abuse and provoke a serious discussion about how to help those who suffer it.

I am just so cross with the neighbours and ppl in the Street. Are they blind? It just goes to show... people need to see a black eye or a bloody nose before they think anything is happening. But this is mental torture, surely they can see she is a shadow of her former self.

I remember her before she met Geoff... she was feisty and a bit of a harridan if I remember correctly.

They had the usual "If you have been affected........." at the end.

Yes he took her mobile off her before he went to the cafe, and took her door key.

Now we will have to watch her being arrested and tried for murder or maybe assault. Its going to be painful.

I really don't want to see Yasmeen in prison while she waits for the trial.
She is not a danger to the public ffs.

The actress has lost so much weight, she looks like she shrunk. Awful watching last night, my 2 dds watched and they were horrified that it happens. Has he gone on the mortgage? It seems to have ramped up quite quickly. I am really cross with Cathy, I think her saviours will be Peter, Sally and Eileen.

I was very disappointed by the ending of the episode. They've turned it into a dramatic, prison bound storyline, rather than anything that would ordinarily reflect reality. I'm glad she went to the police when she did, as at least that will be on record. Whereas it'll be her word against his on the street.

Surely the fact he locked her in a box when she suffers from claustrophobia and went off for a pint up the pub will count for something??

Where is Roy. No one seems to comment that Jasmine is never out of the house

My theory is that Geoff will be dead, the street will initially think Yasmeen is bad but the police will investigate, find evidence of the filmed abuse on Geoffs laptop via the hidden cameras and Yasmeen will get let off. She will maybe go out of the show for a bit to recuperate. She will inherit the shares in the restaurant and house which Geoff has taken off her because she is his spouse. Am asking hoping that Tim’s mum will come into the show with some past evidence but I’ve been hoping for that all along.

I just hope he doesn't destroy the cameras and phone evidence of him filming her
