We have been discussing Our Girl from the first series back in 2014 and are now on thread 55!

There are many similarities between this series and the first one Rhu.

Ah, another lovely scene with the military dog and Throbber. He's a softie at heart. Who's playing The Last Post? Is it Lt Hurst? Or was it just to confuse us over the dog's fate?

Georgie and Dr Antonio have a chat. He definitely has the hots for her but so far not reciprocated.

.... and here comes Omar being wheeled in for a scan.

Bringing home a Surgeon for tea?

The wheels of conspiracy turn in Georgie's mind.

Grace Lane would be delighted if Georgie brought home a surgeon! Definitely one up on Jamie!

This business with the dog reminds me of something Dave and Paddy would have done. Nice to have some light relief.

I'm still a bit ahead of you, but when Georgie goes back to the psych without an appointment, and bangs on about being angry with Omar for taking everything away from her - wedding, children ... - what do you reckon it's not that simple, seeing the long and winding road that brought them to that second engagement?

So that Poyer is giving Georgie sidelong glances.

Throbber makes a racist comment and Prof jumps in to apologise! Do like his very dry sense of humour.

So Georgie listens in to the operation and it brings back too many bad memories.

Cheese is out of control. He can't keep a lid on his anger.

Cheese hits the old Afghan man's face with his rifle. He has serious issues, I am sure. How did he come to join 2 Section? I know he replaced Fingers but I wonder if his previous section wanted rid of him?

Here we go "We have a duty of care" how many times has that been trotted out.

Georgie has turned up unannounced at the Psychiatrist's office.

This is emotional stuff from Georgie. You do feel for her. Great acting from MK.

Georgie pours out her heart to the captain/major about Elvis. It's a pity she's bottled it all up for so long. I think we know that in real army life, she would have been given compassionate leave and not allowed to go back on tour so soon.

Oh, misplaced loyalties...

Why did Mimi feel compelled to cover for Cheese? What is he holding over her?

The psychiatrist tells Georgie she too has experienced the death of a partner.

So, despite everything that's happened, it's not PTSD? That surprises me, but I guess she wouldn't be able to finish the story if she was sidelined.

Ah Flash is destined for a happier future. Time to make a miraculous reappearance.

So, every other week, the buffering has has meant that I finished half an hour after the rest of you, and this week, I start early and it hardly buffers at all. Mega-boo!

Spiriting the dog back into its kennel...

Non-alcoholic beer? Is that a clue? What if Dr Dishy is a muslim convert and doesn't drink? No....surely not????

Dr Dishy with his parents in a photo? Does that mean he's available? - - - OK, back to the issue at hand!

Dr Antonio's white coat reminds me of Sadie's coat in Soldier Soldier. She really loved that white coat.

He produces a couple of bottles of beer but has nothing to open them with so disappears (great plot device) to find a bottle opener and lo and behold, it gives Georgie the chance to see a file on Omar on the desk.

Seems Omar is to be shipped out to Pakistan. Antonio reappears and Georgie turns down the offer of the beer on the pretext of being exhausted after the psychiatric report but clearly is plotting to get to Omar.

Dr Dishy must be available, surely!

Georgie has read the file on Dr Dishy's desk and he has signed him off as fit. She has stolen his ID car and she and Prof risk getting into a lot of trouble by impersonating him and his sidekick.
