I remember Angelo being in Summer Bay and opening the restaurant / bar Angelo's, but I don't really remember him being a cop. Was there a whole storyline around him leaving the force and opening Angelo's? I also vaguely remember him helping a girl who gave birth on the beach 🤔

Was it him who let Martha (Roo’s daughter) and Hugo escape instead of taking them in (Hugo was wanted for people-smuggling)?

Yes it was him. And also he helped Nicole give birth to baby George on the beach!

I think he also dated fellow cop Charlie, but then she fell in love with Brax ... it was very sad when she died.

Was he a cop before he owned Angelo’s or after?

After he left the Force. He said it had been his dream to follow in his family’s steps and open a restaurant.

I can’t remember what was there before Angelo’s. Although the Bay was in sore need of somewhere a bit upmarket to eat.

I think he landed up selling it to the Braxtons as they were running some scheme behind the scenes and he was being edged out anyway. But I also can’t remember what happened after that, as I’m sure there was a gap between the Braxtons leaving and Brody taking it over and making it into Salt 🤔

The Morgan boys arrived the same episode that the last of the Braxtons left, from what I can remember.

I remember Brax basically forcing Angelo out and taking over.

Nicole! That was her name. I thought they had left together.

The Hugo people smuggling storyline was one of the best I've ever seen. I wish they had at least rounded off the story with Martha making contact with Roo one last time. When Roo went on her trip to find her I was expecting there to have been an off screen reunion. I wondered at one point if that was their way of leaving the door open for a possible return.

Oh I remember now Braxton running Angelo's. I think it was known as Angelo's until Brody took it over as Salt?

Did the people being smuggled all end up locked in a shipping container to be rescued dramatically at the last minute?

And Martha's been living in Erinsborough all this time!

Brax was a bit more of a scamp at the beginning.

@Luckingfovely yes that's the one. It was the most properly serious storyline I ever remember. Very cleverly done. I always wanted it to be rounded off. It didn't seem right that Hugo got away with it and Martha was happy to still be with him despite what he had done.

Oh yes I've just realised why Angelo hates The River Boys and by default Colby.

Has there been any explanation about Nicole and what happened there?
I don't think there has but occasionally I miss an episode.

Not yet. Unfortunately I expect she will never be mentioned. I hate it when they think we don't remember previous storylines!

Surely he's got a son even if he isn't the biological Dad, but he raised him for however many years.

I think Irene wondered about Nicole she heard he was back, but yes I’m sure that part of his backstory will be conveniently ignored.

I’m just wondering if Gemma’s extended absence will also just be ignored now - given how close the family is they should at least acknowledge it 🤔

Didn't Nicole live with Irene for a while?
Tane mentioned Gemma in a brief "what will we tell her about Nik". But that's it.

Colby looked so smarmy putting the charm on for Angelo's wife. I don't know why she lapped it up.

Yes I think Nicole was one of Irene’s girlies in the house for a while 😅

I do wish they’d have a little continuity to round up departed characters’ storylines ... especially for those of us faithful viewers that get so majorly invested over the years!

I think she dated Aden for a while after Belle died.

Nicole was briefly mentioned, I think by by Irene, she said that they had separated.

Aden was amazing.
I don't recall Angelo being a duck, but it's possible I've forgotten.
I'm fairly sure he was a good gay though.

I loved Aden too, brilliant storyline - I can’t remember what happened to him in the end? I think I was hoping he’d get together with Nicole but maybe he went off to find himself?

Wasn't angelo a bent cop at one time?
