Nooooo I lined up Ari for Roo.

Ari can help Mazm break free, leave John and adopt some kids on her own before meeting a different nice man.

Ari and Roo can get together and become Tom and Pippa i the right house.

Let’s be real. Justin is clearly going to meet his maker once the curse of Leah kicks in. Then she’ll set her bossy, interfering sights on Ari 😭 and his days will be numbered too 😭

Fi1982 · 02/04/2020 16:10

Although I have trouble with ages on H&A, I think Ari is supposed to be mid 30s?? Justin, mid 30s? Leah 40+ perhaps... Maz nearly 50 by now?!

I thought Tane was another son, not another uncle?

Report
TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 02/04/2020 22:10

Have just checked and Tane is Ari's younger brother.

Report
SleepingStandingUp · 03/04/2020 04:12

Yeah I'm assuming age wise Dad is between Uncle Ari and Uncle Tane.

Leah can back off, he's Roo's or Maz's. Leah will just curse his life

This thread had dropped to page 3 of Telly Addicts! - had to hunt around for it a bit. Watching it feels like a real treat when it's only on twice a week.

I have no idea how Justin has not had a complete mental breakdown by now.

What I do like is how unglamorous both Tori and Jasmine look at the moment - given what they've been through, they look exactly right.

Well done for resurrecting the thread OnlyLiving, I guess we’ve all gone quiet because of the lack of episodes, or perhaps it’s because the episodes have been either boring or fucking bonkers 😂

My 5* recordings seem to have leapt out of chronology, so I went from an arguing Willow and Alex to a happy Willow and Alex to a pretty much over Willow and Alex. Regardless, the outcome was always going to be the same with Tori coming back to work, Alex was always going to be hitting the road. I would’ve preferred her to go out in a blaze of glory during the siege personally, I think it would’ve fitted the character and felt a bit less like Zoe Ventura had been parachuted in and back out just for Penny M’s mat leave.

More importantly, how hilarious and OTT are these scenes with Leah and Summer Bay resident freak #3547 🤣. He looks a weedy chap so I’m not sure at this point why Leah hasn’t just coshed him round the head with an overcooked buttermilk scone and run for the door 🤣

Have just watched that episode you're talking about! I don't mean to diminish in any way coercive control or domestic abuse, but the Leah we know and love would have punched him on day 1, kneed him in the bollocks on day 2 and been out of there before you could say "buttermilk scone". I mean, she seems free to wander round the house for quite a lot of the time - couldn't she just have legged it out the kitchen window while he was waiting for his coffee?

Willow and Alex - don't think your 5* recordings have gone loopy: think that's just their relationship 😂 We are literally watching the writers scrabbling to sort out this mess of a true lurve relationship where one of the characters was never meant to be a permanent fixture in the Bay.

Yes that’s what I mean OnlyLiving: I’m not minimising domestic abuse at all either, but this is just OTT thrown together tosh with token swivel-eyed freako in nearly ironed Norman Bates attire and ruler-straight parting 😂 why the fuck wouldn’t Leah just walk out the back door as you say?? She’s not been worn down by years of coercive control by a man she’s in love with, I assume she’s thought he’s a minging weirdo from day one!!

I do hope willow doesnt leave with alex. For some reason alex seems way too grown up for her.
Roo has to get with ari.

There's charter on the spoilers thread too ask think that's why this one isn't used loads.

I know who snogs Ari.

What I do like is how unglamorous both Tori and Jasmine look at the moment - given what they've been through, they look exactly right agree. Jas hasn't brushed her hair properly in days and both are minimal make up and sloppy clothes. Feels more authentic that Elly breast feeding in right strappy sundresses.

Also agree Alex is too grown up for Willow but the whole things is crazy.
W: I'll move away with you
A: Cool, next time I'll try and get a job nearer here. Oh let's get a mortgage.
W: erm....
A: well so you want to get seperate mortgages?
W: erm...
A: YOU DON'T LOVE ME ENOUGH AND YOU AREN'T SERIOUS ABOUT US I'M LEAVING
W: ERM....

I had thought a job would just be found for Alex at Northern District and the whole moving thing would be forgotten. I mean, jobs tend just be found the rest of the time!

I haven't seen the episode with Leah's captor yet. I hope there is a clear explanation of how he gets her into his car and then his house without anyone noticing... I just want that storyline over with now and for them to crack on with a Justin and Leah wedding, plus a new love interest for Maz. I want lots of happy stories to take the edge off normal life!

I'm a bit bewildered by the Leah being held captive storyline. I can't work out why she hasn't been able to bash him over the head with the coffee pot or something? I hope it's properly explained. I don't like storylines when they don't make any sense at all!

I know a spoiler on WHY but not HOW. I do hope they do flashbacks.
How did he get her no?
Why did she presumably get in the car?
So many questions.

I watch on 5* so am ahead by one episode, but in the one I’ve just watched, I was just looking at her as she sat in an empty room with furniture, etc, thinking: OK, you’re locked in, but I bet that window would smash with one good blow from a chair or something.

The thing I find most improbable is how submissive she is after just a few weeks. I’d be RAGING at him still, giving him grief for everything, and if he got physical, I’d be fighting back. It’s not like she’s been captured by someone built like the Rock. I hope they give us a proper insight into why she’s responded so strangely.

Leah is safe!

Such good fortune that Justin came driving down that road and not one of crazy man's friends from his "men's group". Who else got a shiver at the thought of a group of men who encourage and support each other to stalk and kidnap women, then hold them hostage and perform pretend weddings before the intend to ceremoniously rape them Shock Sad

Poor Leah looked traumatised. A rather dark storyline to have come from a silly beginning.

That brief mention of that men's group gave me shivers: it made me think of those "incels" who collect in various shady corners of the internet and share their vitriolic misogyny, winding each other up about how loathsome women are.

I think that's why the silly beginning is such a shame, and really hope they can make it believable in flash back

Agreed, this could’ve been quite a hard-hitting storyline! Leah could’ve started engaging with a troll on her blog, and then as the weeks went by, she could’ve started showing signs of feeling sorry for the troll or starting to see his point of view. Cue confusion and rows with Justin who accuses her of spending too much time engaging with another man, and Irene and Roo could’ve noticed Leah’s perception of Women’s Rights and sexism changing as she becomes more embroiled in the troll’s sinister plot. The climax of the storyline where she goes to meet said troll and gets held captive/brainwashed would then have a) made at least some sense and b) been a bit more exciting and invested in by viewers. Instead we’re all here laughing about how stupid it was that she didn’t kick him in the balls and stride out six weeks ago 😕

In other news, I fancy Colby too much and also was quite impressed with Tim Franklin’s acting regarding his leg wound definitely not just cos I fancy him too much
