The fact that they cut the season short explains the weirdness of Maggie's hair. Tha k god I found this thread. In her last scene with Richard she has an entirely new hairstyle. Must have been filmed for a later episode and spliced in.

I've wanted Tom & Teddy to get together for a while, and whilst she annoys me, I do like Tom.

Am I right in thinking Owen cheated on Yang ? Or am I remembering wrong?

I'm with you. Owen cheated on yang because of the abortion and has treated teddy shockingly over the years.

I'm wondering if it was Owen that called the wedding off, or if it was Tom that forced him to work.

Owen slept with Teddy then went right back to Amelia and was buzzing around her. I think he loves Teddy but is maybe not in love with her. No excuse for Teddy cheating but Owen hasn’t treated her well.

I’m quite bored with Schmitt and most of the interns.

I think it was telling that Hunt called to say he had to work - but didn’t call Amelia.

Amelia would have been a bit busy to go to the wedding...
It's also weird that no one actually mentioned going. Like McWidow asked Mer for a drink, she didn't say oh I have a wedding to go to etc. No one mentioned it all day, at all.

I just found this thread and haven't read the whole thing so sorry if this has been done already - but I am wondering if there's a reason Karev left so oddly. He was barely in the series then didn't even feature in his own farewell. Is he ill? Was there a sex scandal? A fall out with Shonda Rhymes?

I wonder if the wedding was originally planned to be in a slightly later episode OR Richard's surgery was. So, if for example, they've merged filming from two episodes to make one new one, some of the slight oddness would be the case. Even Maggie's hair (which I'm obsessed about) could be that she'd got the style done for the wedding. I'm not sure how they film but assume that filming goes on while editing is happening and that theoretically, when they stopped they had extra filmed that hadn't yet been edited as per the original episodes.

The writers need to do something great next season.

I still just don’t get De Luca! I don’t like him at all and he’s so not the person for Mer. That said I hope there’s more on the child trafficking(?) ep from a couple of weeks ago.

@bettyskitchen I agree with all of that. Don't get the appeal of DeLuca at all. The actor who plays Tom has managed to bring some depth to him.

Yeah when Amelia said she had to stay I wondered how it's go down so it's lovely that she found the strength to be there and hopefully there was something cathartic shore coming full circle.

I like De Luce, I'm annoyed they broke him. I really want Jo too get with McWidow

De Luca does not look as handsome with a beard (just my personal opinion!)

He's the opposite of Kian in Holby where we're all desperate for the facial hair back

Yes to Amelia and Linc, and he was super in Richard's surgery. I like de Luca and thinks he deserves a bit of loyalty now. Such a pity that was the last episode

I've just realised I now dislike Hunt, Teddy and Tom and don't care what triangle formation wins out. They are all selfish.

Schmidtt - feels like the new 'George' but better without vain boyfriend.
Mer - love till the day I die
Bailey - ditto
Jo - Can't believe she has bounced back so fast
McWidow - Ok but a bit of a cliche
Jackson - dull since April left
Maggie - dull since forever

Best bit of last night was Webber telling Catherine to fuck off. Finally she hasn't got exactly what she wants.

Oh and De Luca - glad he won out, but can't buy into him and Mer

@SlightlyJaded 🤣 you’ve basically summed up my feelings but don’t compare Schmitt to George that’s just wrong. I loved George, I find Schmit boring.

Still love Mer and will always love Bailey.
