I wouldn't think they'd been pushed, the only reason I can imagine anyone being pushed ATM is because of the racism and I'm assuming it wasn't one of them. The first lady to comment against the racism she experienced said it was a white woman

The new sheila canning has stated that she experienced racism on neighbours.

I'm not sure of filming time lines, would she have filmed before or after the first allegations came out? You'd hope absolutely everyone was bollocked by management and threatened with the risk of the show folding but I guess until newer actors come on we won't know.

She had wrapped all filming before speaking publicly about her experience, which is totally understandable. She’s already been in aus on screen for a week or two so probably filmed in January/Feb. She probably took time to formulate the best way to go about it too. It’s very easy to just say name and shame but the reality is that it’s not that simple plus the consequences can be much more severe than you would want as the victim (who would have had this treatment several times before and many more every day micro aggressions so it actually feels less to yourself than it does to those shocked by it) and likely the as the accuser, even in this day and age, you may struggle to get work and not be seen as a troublemaker. That’s the sad truth.

And she couldn’t legally name the actress as the actress had denied it to HR. If you name and shame people unfortunately you need to be sure you have witnesses to back you up and I don’t think she felt she had anyone she could trust, particularly being in such a minority on set.

Sorry I meant had the first lady who came forward come out before Sheila 2 filmed I wonder? If so hopefully she'd have had an easier time although it must be awful knowing it's just under the surface

Formally had heard how the Kapoor family had to deal with a racial backlash from viewers at the time and similar with Nate but not heard about on set issues.

I agree. Didn't like Roxy at first but now she's one of my favourite characters.

Yes but actually I think they've played it quite well. She's only a few years older than him, she's into art, thinks he's wonderful, there's a bit of banter etc going on so it doesn't feel as ridiculous as it did when I read it before they met

Are they really going to pair Toadie and Melanie? That seems such a horrible mismatch to me - she looks and acts like she could be his mum.

Yes they have paired off Toadie and Melanie (as you may know by now) I’m watching at Oz pace online so still a few weeks ahead. And it is every bit as cringeworthy as expected, the only plus point being that it pisses Paul off mightily There is also a lot of manure involved (literal, not the script!) which you’ll see. Bea and Levi break up, so do Ned and Yashvi. Harlow and Levi potentially hook up but I think it will turn out to be a misunderstanding-could be laying ground for the future though. Roxy and Amy fight loads and it’s quite entertaining, also Pierce is due back soon (oh joy.....)

Oh god so Nicolette is due to have ANOTHER fall and another emergency dash to hospital with baby. Does anyone know how far she is? Surely we're going to end up with a prem birth at this rate?

There was a casting call for a baby to appear from June in Neighbours, so around August onscreen I guess.

And so is Leo! Well, in Oz anyway. In other news, Harlow has pretended to break up with Brent to appease Paul and get him off her back. She is in a fake relationship with Jesse who is a) gay b) dating Curtis and c) a spy for the Quill Group. Harlow knows a) and b) but not c). Hotel Wars round 3000 is about to kick off .

Leo is staying for ages, like 9 months. I’m glad he’s back!

Yashvi has a car accident with Levi in aus soon, which is when Dipi comes back. I’m not sure if she crosses over with Pierce or if he has left by then. And it might be how Yashvi ends up leaving, although I think she survives.

Ned and Amy look like they will be the next thing.

Mackenzie hasn’t fallen in the well yet…
