Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

Aliyah will work out the finances because she has a degree in business and fashion, and Toyah will realise that counselling will help. Hopefully Gary will kill Geoff and be jailed for life.
I forgot about the appendicitis episode.. I don't think anyone on Coronation Street has ever used contraception before, hence the birthrate from one night spent with the wrong partner. (I know a man who dabbles in dna stuff, he calls those 'non paternal events').

I watch Corrie when I'm here and when I am it goes in one ear and out the other ... am I right in remembering Dr. Ali has or had a drug problem? I only dipped in and out then, but I thought he had?

Yasmeen is still putting up with Geoff then. Even when he bursts into tears and begs her not to leave, it is no time before he is telling her to 'shut up'. I just hope that something is clicking in her brain how horrible he is.

He did have a drug problem, I think Maria dumped him because of it - didn't something happen when he was minding Liam? Probably a fire, there are a lot of fires. He also had a seizure. Ryan and Robert helped him go cold turkey I think. There is also the issue of the person he murdered,and Emma's appendix which I forgot. But he is a great doctor.

Geoff needs to die really, but I hope that Yasmeen can find strength to address the situation and get rid of him. Except I suppose he'd go and torture someone else, nasty specimen.

To be fair to Hirsute Ali's doctoring skills, my own GP - a sort of young Joyce Grenfell on speed - wouldn't notice if a patient's arm had been severed until it was pointed out to her by people taking cover under plastic sheeting from the arterial spurt. I don't think she'd get away with being a drug addled killer mind you. Or that hair. Actually I think it's the hair that would finally turn the patients against her.

Practice receptionist Liz's face looks like it's been smoothed down with a latex coating and painted, like those pervy 'womanface' masks that kinky blokes who are in love with themselves wear.

It's all very odd in the doctor's surgery.

Ali needs to be struck off for that hair, but tbf are any of the hairdressers actually working at the moment? I think I saw Maria sweeping in the salon recently but that's about it. We used to spend a lot of time in Audrey's, I miss it. I also would like to know where Adam and Sarah live, I don't understand why they added the apartments to the set when hardly anyone lives in them.

Ali has joined the Dr Karl Kennedy school of doctoring; he'll have a crack at any speciality in any location. You name it, boils, brain surgery, contraception, shotgun injuries, Ali's your man for all medical occasions.

Adam lives in the Rovers. He doesn't need a flat. I think Sarah's planning on popping in to see him daily to pointlessly mention her time in Milan.

I laughed at this, Yes! I have seen her in real life but not for ten or twelve years. Also met Deidre, they were great friends.

Liz was coated in make up and jewellery hanging from everywhere, long painted nails... would a doctors receptionist really look like this? Mine don't!

I think I only watch Corrie now for the comments on this thread.

We saw Aliyah and toyahs flat for the first time in ages. Is that the flat Craig used to live in? Or does he still live there? The one Eileen/Jason owns? Does Imran live with toyah? Does sarah live with David platt?

Maria owns Audrey’s but works in the barber shop.

Claudia does no hair. Her own farrah fawcett flicks take up all her hair allocated time.

I quite enjoyed Liz and Eileen's chat in the pub about choking on lemon sherberts!

We have a "Liz" at our surgery. All the other receptionists are very clinical, polite and stick to the normal booking in chat. They wear the surgery logo top, black skirt/trousers with minimal makeup and hair tied up. "Liz" has manicured brightly coloured sparkly nails, a face made up like she's just been to the Debenhams counter, hair like she's stepped out of the salon, earrings and rings like rocks and has a long, long chat (gossip) with everyone. But everyone likes her, she's a character and makes a trip there worthwhile!

Yes she said that about Sean. But she referred to the pair of them as some famous sisters or twins. For some reason “carmen miranda” is in my head. Would she have called them the carmen Miranda sisters? Grin

I find it hard to believe that Geoff is still alive given the number of killers on the street. I think young Huuuurp is training up nicely.

Maybe Gary and Geoff could kill each other in a deadly duel. I forgot Adam was living in the Rivers, you'd think a top solicitor would buy a penthouse. And imran also, where does he live? Does leane still work at the solicitors, where does she live? The only hoses we are in are kens and thrones.

Fizz seemed to overemphasise that they'd never see Jade again, so I'm assuming she'll turn up in full psycho mode at some point. Wonder when the cops are going to find Rick in his shallow grave?

I definitely don’t think we’ve seen the last of Jade, like you say Fizz went on too much about seeing the last of her etc.

I also thought Ali’s hair was very 70s.

Surely Adam and Sarah intend to move in together? I wouldn't waste a minute if I managed to bag Adam. Smile Maybe they will buy Steve's flat.
