I just watched season 1. I came across it in the home page of ITV hub and didn’t realise season 2 is due to come out but that explains why it was there...

Anyone else excited for series 2 or have any theories on how Andrew died?

My recording finished just as they (rather heavy handedly arrested Laura). What happened afterwards? Did I miss much?

Not really feeling it this series but have to know what happens in the end. 😁

lazymum99 · 24/03/2020 17:48

I'm calling it folks, his friend Oliver is the murderer.
That makes sense he also had access to the car key and knew where laura lived. Also could have put her locket in that shed where the blood was.

BunnytheBee · 24/03/2020 19:20

I keep forgetting this is on, on a Monday night, but catching up now

Surely to god all that back-story last night could have been condensed into 20 minutes max?
Totally unnecessary and ott for it to take up practically the whole episode and the "present day" story itself hardly move on an inch.
Grrr very frustrating.

So they found a locket and immediately arrested Laura - how did they know it was hers so quickly?
Bloody ridiculous.

BunnytheBee · 24/03/2020 20:00

I’m about 3/4 the way through this episode

The flash back is a bit dull and was predictable

Took me some time to realise Islam learned his tricks from his school friend. Did he become a doctor later?

BunnytheBee · 24/03/2020 20:01

And sister, whatshername, obviously wasnt a doctor yet

JaneJeffer · 24/03/2020 20:08

I thought the arrest was from when they found the car key. It was the exact same scene!

BunnytheBee · 24/03/2020 20:25

I didn’t see the arrest but I forwarded through the bit where think she ended her dad’s life and then the last bit I saw was her date with Irlam where they asked how well you can know another person

No Plop, that was it apart from the male detective saying to Laura “we found it” and she turning round in the car and calling to him “found what?”

Coxie2006 · 24/03/2020 22:14

Been watching this with DH & he thinks the male detective murdered him.

wishingitwasfriday · 24/03/2020 22:42

I think it's the sister who killed him.

LadyEloise · 24/03/2020 23:40

What are the policeman and his son arguing about ?

BunnytheBee · 25/03/2020 08:11

I feel like I’ve missed bits. I didn’t see the argument between male detective and his son!

Might have to watch last week again

peachypetite · 25/03/2020 08:54

I’ve really lost interest in series 2. Can’t even be bothered to watch it on catch up.

BunnytheBee · 25/03/2020 09:11

I’m enjoying it but I know part of my problem is I’m mumsnetting at the same time and then miss what’s going on! 🙈

LadyEloise · 25/03/2020 12:04

BunnytheBee
Perhaps they weren't arguing but something was going on. I haven't seen the last episode that was on this week.

Coxie2006 · 25/03/2020 19:17

Yeah something is definitely going on between the male detective & his son.

Polkadotpjs · 25/03/2020 21:52

It's far fetched but I'm loving the MN angle. I'd have given up without MN company

PlopTeeth · 26/03/2020 08:42

@Papergirl1968, thank you.

Mooserp · 26/03/2020 12:45

Bunnythebee - wasn't he a doctor in the flashbacks?

BunnytheBee · 26/03/2020 16:16

I’ll have to watch last week again Eloise

Mooserp Irlam? I didn’t see him as a doctor in those flashbacks and it wouldn’t have made sense for him to get the drugs from a friend (maybe)

This is really stupid now. The sisters father is terminally ill with a glioma and a prognosis of months. He suddenly has a bleed in his brain and they’re told he might persist in a vegetative state for years. How the fuck does his prognosis jump from months to many years because he’s had a brain haemorrhage on top of the aggressive tumour?

TheCatsBlanket · 27/03/2020 20:58

I think I must be the only one on here who prefers season 2. When I heard they were doing season two, I couldn't see how it would work, because surely we all thought Laura had killed him off in S 1? Anyway I am loving all the flashbacks/ twists/turns and have no idea who to suspect. Can't wait for the next episode.

peonia · 29/03/2020 19:55

Yeah @AlexaAmbidextra that was ridiculous. Also thought it was unlikely that he'd be discharged home in that condition.

AlexaAmbidextra · 29/03/2020 20:29

Yeah @ that was ridiculous. Also thought it was unlikely that he'd be discharged home in that condition.*

Quite. I know it’s a tv drama but I do like them to have a nod in the direction of credibility.
