Jane is never to be seen again. Shame really. She was good for bobby and max

I thought Ian's tirade was realistic but poor Bobby didn't deserve to be treated like that.

nancy75 · 06/02/2020 22:46

Ian is a horrible man, death of Lucy aside he is a petty, vindictive, mean & nasty person. How he ever got so many women to marry him is beyond me!
It’s a shame the Muslim concert thing is muddled in with Bobby killing Lucy.
Ian would have been just as horrible about it even if Lucy hadn’t been killed.

nancy75 · 06/02/2020 22:47

*Convert not concert obvs!

Eastie77 · 06/02/2020 23:21

Where are Jack's kids? He was back for 5 minutes before heading back out to the pub. Do they even live with him?!

I thought Ian's outburst was realistic. Bobby clearly still has a propensity for violence so it's quite understandable for Ian to feel he is fundamentally wicked/twisted. And of course he won't ever forgive him for killing Lucy.

gingercat02 · 07/02/2020 16:23

Jane was in Deadwater Fell on C4 complete with her own Scottish accent.
I really feel for Bobby but Lucy was always Ian's favourite so can see his point too.
I think the Iqra v Ash's family will get quite dark.
Was the while reminiscing with Sharon and Ian just leading up to the anniversary episodes?

lazymum99 · 07/02/2020 16:26

Ian will make a move on Sharon soon and it will be disasterous.

nancy75 · 07/02/2020 16:38

His incredible sulk was almost as if he’d made a move & got knocked back already.
Shazza will run a mile Grin

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 16:42

That pic of Sharon and Michelle was lovely.
They must have been digging deep in the archives for those photos!

PattiPrice · 07/02/2020 16:55

not as a stand-alone background thing that’s just part of his life IYSWIM.

That is true but we don’t see any of the character’s stand alone lives. We never see them doing any hobbies, going to gyms, bringing the children to swimming lessons, driving the kids to matches, doing homework with their children.....,, we see the allotment, jogging around the square and taking Ollie to school when it’s part of a plot. They can’t really show characters doing things unless they are having a conversation with another character which is why they all work in service industries where customers come and go.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 07/02/2020 17:07

Oh yes I know- and it annoys me just as much too. Just that Stuart was the person being discussed when I was thinking of it. I think they need to do a whole lot of work overall on background stories and continuity etc. All the soaps have become very bad at this- all going for the big drama and forgetting the small everyday life stuff.

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 17:43

You don't often see them watching tv either!
It has been seen now and again but it's rare and there is never a tele on in any of the places were they sit ( such as the carters front room or Ian's one)
You rarely see anyone hoovering or anyone returning with the ' big shop' from Aldi. ( They all go to the tiny mini mart which stocks alcohol and fags , mostly! )

Mrsjayy · 07/02/2020 17:54

Suki is quite sinister isn't she ? and clearly has issues with iqra being pakistani/muslm I think she will get twiddley mostache son to try and bump her off Shock

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 19:28

Yes, The eldest Panaser man is a bit ' twiddling moustache' isn't he? You can almost see him doing this every time his mum speaks! I haven't got to grips with this new family yet , but I know the mum is horrible and ( worse) a liar! To lie about having cancer is the lowest of the low ( been done before though! As most story lines have of course!)

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 19:32

I've nicked named Suki, Sulky!

Bluerussian · 07/02/2020 19:38

Sharon marries Bobby but not before she has an affair with Ian.

Keanu comes back and Ben murders him properly this time.

Whitney goes on a weekend break to the Lake District with Mick, on the way they pick up a hitchhiker who turns out to be Leo.

Grey (or Gray) drops bricks on Chantelle's foot breaking a few bones.

Daniel and Bethany - oh no, that's the other one.

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 19:53

Blue Russian, they really have run out of steam if any of that comes true! 😂
Making up new scripts / stories must be hard though. On a facebook EE page they were after new script writers so I guess it's not an easy job to keep it all fresh!

The80sweregreat · 07/02/2020 20:29

'L' is doing my 'ead in! I hope they resolve this soon. Poor Mick though , he did look gutted.

PattiPrice · 07/02/2020 20:34

Kellie Bright is amazing. The way she said ‘advise’ instead of ‘advice’ when slurring.... she is terrific!

Mrsjayy · 07/02/2020 21:01

Kellie Bright was on this morning, she was saying she took herself off to her caravan in corwall to research drunk Linda she basically got steadily drunk and filmed herself Grin

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/02/2020 21:05

I thought this was a spoiler thread for a minute and I was like, "OMG, Sharon marries BobbyShock"

I did a double take too!

Keanu (+ beard) is BACK! WOOhoo!

How can he say he wants sharon to come away with him when only a few weeks ago he loved Louise? How could Sharon believe be really wanted her and loved her?

PattiPrice · 07/02/2020 21:44

Mrsjayy Did she? Is that called ‘method acting’? I wonder who she went with? She must have had someone there to talk to, to hear how her voice/manner changed etc. I never liked her character before. I used found her really irritating. Now I’m fascinated by how she portrays a drunk person. It’s rare you see the ugly side of being drunk. Usually it’s portrayed by sleeping or sleeping with somebody in EE!

My sibling gets verbally aggressive when she drinks too much. I remember when we were in our twenties, I’d avoid going out with her. Last year, we went to an event and she drank too much (not a lot - maybe four drinks over the course of the whole evening) and on the way home, she reverted to being verbally aggressive exactly as she had been like in her twenties. I don’t know how her husband puts up with her tbh but they very rarely drink more than a wine with dinner occasionally.

I wonder why alcohol effects us all so differently.

Figgygal · 07/02/2020 21:46

Wow that beard grew fast
My god id be off with him in a shot Sharon

murasaki · 07/02/2020 22:43

Kellie Bright is super good. Many years ago, my ex father in law, a playwright, had a show on at the Littleton in the National Theatre, mostly about st paul; She played Mary Magdalene and acted everyyone else off the stage.

I remembered her from the upper hand, as this was ages before she was in EE, but she can act.
