I think I need to rewatch it tomorrow. Max carried the statue on. The titanic copycat was silly with Mick and Linda, she should have fell over the edge it'd be more believable. London looks fantastic up in lights I have never been.

PattiPrice · 18/02/2020 02:23

Don’t give a toss about Patty and his long lost son.

Me neither. Not a fig!

BeansOnToast123 · 18/02/2020 07:25

I missed Whitney in the water.
To the poster that said about Linda taking her shoe off and sliding it along to the gap to get it out.....I kept shouting at the tv to ‘slide your foot along!’ It was very silly.

BeansOnToast123 · 18/02/2020 07:27

Did anyone else think that some parts looked very fake, it wasnt even filmed on the water? Green screen background for some parts maybe?
Also, when Sonia was in the house I spotted a window and it was daylight, then she walked into the kitchen (or wherever there was another window) and it was dark outside.

SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 07:44

The only reason I can think of for Phil to be on the boat is to kidnap Karen and that would be far easier to accomplish when not confined within a boat on the Thames. Bernie would be a better target anyway. If Phil was on the boat, did he get off in a life boat and how did he do that - did he borrow the invisibility hoody?

SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 07:45

Were Bex etc on the boat?

Figgygal · 18/02/2020 08:15

Linda’s foot was just ridiculous
Slide it along there’s a huge gap in the corner

Also don’t care about Patrick

Leo clearly not dead Sonia just found blood on floor not a body imo

I still like mick and Whitney together but reminds me of Alfie and roxy and hated then together in the end

The80sweregreat · 18/02/2020 08:25

Linda's leg looked so long in that trap.
I'm so upset' Harry Hill's tv burp ' isn't on anymore as this would be right up his street.
A mick and Linda Titanic mock up scene ( you know the one I mean) on a Thames ferry boat!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2020 08:35

I missed the phil and tracey shag comment

Queen Vic bust is heavy. How did lush carry it

And no one mentioned the fab fight with SHIRLEY and Linda

And why didn’t Whitney call uncle jack the crap policeman

Roll on tonight

And yes don’t care about patty’s long lost son

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 08:56

I think the bust is hollow plaster so, whilst heavy, not unmovable. Did she go down with the ship though? Is that who is in the body bag?

The80sweregreat · 18/02/2020 09:27

Max had the Queen Vic bust I thought?
I suppose it's just an iconic part of EE and always been about during all the bad times !

PattiPrice · 18/02/2020 09:38

and always been about during all the bad time

....the bad times in The Vic only.

Bad times aren’t confined to The Vic.

Who could be in the body bag?

Leo could hardly have followed them with chest stab wounds and after losing a large amount of blood?!

Who was Phil planning to shoot on a boat? Whoever it was, surely a bloody boat wasn’t the best choice of location???

Optimist1 · 18/02/2020 09:57

So you have a drinking problem, find yourself in a stressful situation and decide you need a top up. Do you a) make your way to the free bar on board the boat or b) venture down into the kitchen to find a bottle of cooking sherry that's on the highest of high shelves??

EmeraldShamrock · 18/02/2020 09:57

Mick is a lovely husband through thick and thin. Smile The storyline with Dean was tough, then Olly, Linda coping with his needs, his specific routines, it is very real story too. Sink of swim literally.

iknowimcoming · 18/02/2020 10:11

@Optimist1 - my thoughts exactly! And in the face of certain death via drowning I'd have told someone to yank my foot out breaking it if necessary or saw it off with a kitchen knife - she'd had enough booze to numb the pain anyway! Also why is Bex even there? There's no one else her own age there is there? Whole thing is bizarre/ridiculous! Won't stop me watching it tonight tho ha ha!

HavenDilemma · 18/02/2020 10:49

The thing sinking in the water in the opening scene was a ring...... Looked like a wedding ring

(Yes, I replayed it in slow motion because I'm sad and have no life!) Confused

meow1989 · 18/02/2020 11:14

Ian running for the lifeboat was so in character! Is sharon on the boat or did she stay home? I feel a bit like I missed an episode but maybe itll become clear over the week, will we see from different characters perspectives like xmas do you think? I also wondered if Tina is dressed similar to Linda because there'll be a body dressed in pink and we will be left guessing who it is?

iknowimcoming · 18/02/2020 11:14

Ha just replayed it and yes definitely a wedding ring! Also loved the eeerie Thames/London night time credits! Btw am I the only one who thought it bizarre that the party to celebrate the best pub in London wasn't actually IN the best pub in London? I mean obviously it'd be much more difficult to get a drowning in walford, although, no, it has been done before Tina's mum I think? Drowned in the bath?

iknowimcoming · 18/02/2020 11:16

I mean thinking about it Shazza may have a point - that bloody pub is cursed! Grin

SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 11:18

Tina and Linda aren't actually dressed similarly. Linda is in a very obvious flowery dress, Tina's isn't at all like that. Other than being basically pink. I checked when I saw the comment on the thread earlier.

inkysplatter · 18/02/2020 11:27

Don't rewatch on IPlayer as the still is a spoiler IMO

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 18/02/2020 11:42

I think PP meant that Tina was dressed in a very Linda style coat, not that her and Linda’s were wearing the same outfits last night.

The80sweregreat · 18/02/2020 11:44

Ronnie and Roxy drowned in a swimming pool in a posh hotel when Ronnie married Jack! Tina's mum electrocuted herself in the bath in the vic. Dirty Den fell in a river when he died ( the first time around) killed by a gun in a bunch of daffs!
Can't recall any other watery deaths but I'm sure they have had some more! Lol

NigellasGuest · 18/02/2020 11:49

My guess is they all end up with Corona virus and the party boat has to be moored off the Isle of Dogs until they all drown

SoupDragon · 18/02/2020 12:01

I think PP meant that Tina was dressed in a very Linda style coat, not that her and Linda’s were wearing the same outfits last night.

A PP is saying that it could be to trick us into thinking it's one when it's the other. I'm just disagreeing as they are completely different.
