Dontlickthetrolley · 17/01/2020 21:00

I'm half way through episode 2; it's good

HollysBush · 17/01/2020 22:04

Just watched first episode on Sky one. How can I get more, is it only on NowTV?

Dontlickthetrolley · 17/01/2020 22:56

It's on On Demand on Sky. Just search for COBRA.

DareDevil223 · 17/01/2020 23:37

I'm addicted, I need to go to bed but I can't stop watching it.

PenguinsOnParade · 17/01/2020 23:39

DH and I are just starting ep6. Absolutely brilliant so far.

SingingSands · 17/01/2020 23:48

Just finished ep.1 and enjoyed it.

BanditoShipman · 18/01/2020 15:38

Binge watched whole series last night, loved it!

justgivememulledwine · 18/01/2020 21:18

Binge watching now, going to be a late night!

Bluewavescrashing · 18/01/2020 22:03

Just managed one episode tonight as I'm exhausted but it's really good. Anna has a Hermione Morris vibe going on. Good effects and excellent cast. Has Robert Carlisle messed with his face? He doesn't look right.

Starksforthewin · 19/01/2020 01:15

So good! Really enjoying Beric Dondarrien as Fraser. That voice makes me swoon.

Thought the plane crash scene was done really well. Good production values.

Stupid druggy daughter is the only annoying bit.

BanditoShipman · 19/01/2020 01:23

I thought Fraser was Richard Dormer out of Fortitude??

BanditoShipman · 19/01/2020 01:24

Ah his character in game of thrones! Ignore me!

maxbabi · 19/01/2020 02:06

Watching it now very addictive! Although both lead females are annoying me.

Starksforthewin · 19/01/2020 04:17

Sorry, Bandito, still not over my Game of Thrones obsession 😀

Bluewavescrashing · 19/01/2020 20:05

Waited all day to watch this once the kids were in bed 😊

pollyhampton · 19/01/2020 20:11

I am on episode 2 and enjoying it. David Haig as home secretary is utterly vile! Loving a Scottish PM.

Bluewavescrashing · 20/01/2020 09:57

One episode to go! I'm seriously impressed. Very well cast.

ElenadeClermont · 20/01/2020 10:15

Prime Minister Begbie (for Trainspotting fans) makes total sense. Wine

I loved it, but their idea of the North is quite hazy. In Cobra it is either meant to be a lot smaller, or Co Durham does not exist.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 20/01/2020 15:20

Really wanted to enjoy this, I like disaster type programmes but there's so many wtf moments. For example the only police man in the north leaving a high security prison that had been breached by inmates because everyone else was 'busy with the crash'. Surely the army would have been drafted in. Also is the A1 really the only road into the north?

I'll watch another episode to see if it gets any better but the PM seems very laid back considering its a national disaster. Is it global? there's not much mention of other countries except Germany who may have a spare transformer whatever that is.

David Haig is funny though.

CormoranStrike · 20/01/2020 15:53

I’m really liking it - it’s got holes and weaknesses (eg only one serving officer in Northumberland) but I like it.

Love by the chief constable character, swoon, and Fraser.

StealthPolarBear · 20/01/2020 16:11

I've started a thread on this! Why was France affect d before the UK, and in fact before the scientist guy confirmed it was the wrong radiation?
However the crash was in Newton aycliffe in Co Durham! And they know Sunderland exists which is amazing
But if all those people at the hospital are meant to be geordies, why were they all wearing coats?

CormoranStrike · 20/01/2020 16:27

Why did they have to set up a tent village at one hospital?
Why didn’t people stay at home?

PineappleDanish · 20/01/2020 16:29

Is this the thing with Robert Carlyle as Prime Minister? i saw him talking about it and thought it looked good.

Worth a watch then?

ElenadeClermont · 20/01/2020 17:18

I like the actors, so I will watch it for them.

There is no motorway in Northumberland. At all. Like none.

They needed the tents, because Hexham hospital is so small. They must have driven past quite a few big hospitals to get there. It probably would have been easier to blue light it to the actual Northumbria A&E hospital to Cramlington. Writers have no concept of how huge the North really is.
