Another two episode about what happened!!

Sister had baby after husband had died - Lab Man helped
In early stages of pregnancy (2-3 mths) sister stole a newborn from a hospital while disguised as a nurse. (Why? For herself? For her brother?)
Brother took (back?) 7 month old stolen baby when sister had her new baby
Stolen baby never registered in an school
Stolen baby got ill with leukaemia when she was 12. Sister diagnosed her and got cancer drugs from somewhere. (Lab Man?)
Stolen baby dies and gets cryogenicly frozen by Lab Man
Brother kills himself in bathroom because Stolen Baby is dead and there's lots of debt from buying wrong drugs. Money borrowed from Concrete Man.
Brother's Wife chops his hands off, sticks him in pillar which gets filled in with concrete by Concrete Man (unaware of body despite losing his glasses on him?)
Brother's Wife sells house cheap, pays Concrete Man back
Brother's Wife gets life insurance eventually and pays towards Stolen Baby's freezing.

Is that about right?

We can take random appearances of forensic scientist and superhuman ability foresic deductions. Plus slightly underhand obtaining of forensic material. Getting used to that. But now the murder stories are getting mental!!

Squigean · 28/01/2020 22:48

Clarissa's mum dying was sad. Only believable thing.

SoupDragon · 28/01/2020 22:55

Brother's Wife chops his hands off, sticks him in pillar which gets filled in with concrete by Concrete Man (unaware of body despite losing his glasses on him?)

Concrete man was in on this bit. I think he finished off the job of chopping of the hands and disposed of the body.

Squigean · 28/01/2020 22:59

Ah, right. So other than that did I get it right? I mean I know it's all obvious and straight-forward🤪.

LittleCandle · 28/01/2020 23:06

I was shocked at how old Louise Jameson looks! And the girl who started out as a nurse in Holby City! Shit, I'm old.

And yeah - bring back Harry. Jack is a right pain in the ass.

MrsSiba · 29/01/2020 00:32

The bit about Clarissa and her mum was really touching.

Why is Clarissa doing police interviews?!? (Other than to receive death stare from the female detective about her theory not panning out ..... yet)

SouthWestmom · 29/01/2020 01:57

I hated the side story about Clarissa and her mum. Totally designed to be sad. The penny was ridiculous and the death bed stuff about the father living the baby. Really annoyed by it!

No there was a twin missing - the stolen new born was a twin and was never returned

BitOfFun · 29/01/2020 02:12

The super-woke casting often irritates me: the way the wheelchair user is portrayed as a multi-talented genius, and nobody seems to mind her churning up the grass of a crime scene with her motorised scooter when she is supposed to be office-based anyway.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/01/2020 06:33

That was beyond rubbish. The plots are getting more convoluted and random.

ThisIsBigMoon · 29/01/2020 06:37

All the nonsense aside, I welled up that the little girl being frozen meant her mum could say goodbye properly.

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 29/01/2020 07:09

It's all a bit shit now.

I missed why the sister killed her brothers wife. Was there a reason? Was she about to come clean about the baby snatching?

SoupDragon · 29/01/2020 07:13

The super-woke casting often irritates me

I've never got that feel from it. As far as I can see she just happens to be in a wheelchair.

WeHaveSnowdrops · 29/01/2020 07:24

Hate that SW is becoming like a soap. Not in the least interested about Clarissa's background. She can't act anyway. It's just annoying.

Dennisreynoldsduster · 29/01/2020 08:27

Really didn’t like this instalment. What’s with the not clarifying things with the ridiculous plots?!

It just feels like it’s being phoned in now like even the actors are aware of how stupid the whole thing has got.

I’ll keep watching though obviously Grin

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/01/2020 09:02

I still don't really understand why it was necessary to chop off the hands of the husband who killed himself?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/01/2020 09:03

I thought Clarissa's mum dying was very poignant but it seemed like plot padding to me.

I really don't understand how the most recent storyline got approval to be filmed!!!

NigesFakeWalkingStick · 29/01/2020 09:09

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 I think they thought that way he couldn't be identified.

Dennisreynoldsduster · 29/01/2020 09:10

I thought it was so they could
Hide the fact he committed suicide so the wife could get the life insurance as they wouldn’t pay out for suicide

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/01/2020 09:38

Clearly I'm not very good at joining the dots together... or not concentrating properly.

Dennisreynoldsduster · 29/01/2020 09:42

The plots are so convoluted I’m not surprised!
