And as we have had deaths the past 3yrs on ee - ray (18) Abbie (17) - ROXY and Ronnie (16)

I thought I saw a body wrapped up at the end when Martin was standing next to the fire burning Keanu's stuff? Did anyone else notice it? It was at his feet? DH says I was wrong.

Linda in the hospital was before she ended up in the van. She scarpered from hospital and got pissed. We saw her pissed on a step somewhere on the square and then that was it until we saw her in the back of the van.

I’m really bugged that he burnt his passport, it just doesn’t make any sense. It would be so much better for all concerned if Ken were to leave the country.

@chipstick10, it's because when Karen reports him missing, the police would be able to tell her that he used his passport and therefore fled the country.
Ben would then know that Martin didn't kill him.

I don’t get why they’re both so tortured either. They’ve saved his life. As Martin said, if he didn’t kill him then someone else would.

Also, surprised at Linda suddenly becoming a professional marksman whilst drunk/hungover. She picked her target and hit it perfectly without so much as aiming the gun.

Saying that, it has still been the most enjoyable soap over Christmas.

Timeline wise:
Linda passes out under christmas tree and is taken to hospital by Lee.
People visiting patient in next bed bring a bottle of gin as Christmas present.
Linda nicks the booze and leaves hospital, goes back to square.
Drinks Gin on doorstep of square and somehow ends up in the van. presumably the back doors were left unlocked and she was cold needed to crash.

OK, have watched the end again. Now not sure if it is a wrapped up body or something to do with the allotment - like a small polytunnel.

But I don't get why Martin and Linda are so upset. As @Jumpi said, they have saved his life, not murdered him. I mean, it will come back to haunt them because Keanu won't be able to stay away of out of contact, and Linda will get drunk and blab to Karen or Sharon. But they are acting as if they have killed him. If he is discovered to be alive they can say he must have not been dead when they shot him and dumped him, and Linda can back Martin's version up if Keanu turns on them.

I am not getting Martin's total devastation.

I'm not sure why so many posters are saying martin and linda are overreacting. They've both unwittingly got caught up in an issue that is well out of their comfort zone. They have both put themselves and their families in mortal danger- yet they cannot even talk to anyone about it, they have to bottle it up and look over their shoulders for evermore waiting for it all to blow up in their faces.

I had forgotten that Linda went to the hospital then run off again on Xmas morning.

I don't get why they wouldn't be devastated. Yes, they would have felt worse if they killed him, but they still shot him and stitched Phil and Ben up.

I suppose Linda feels bad as she can't tell anyone anything and let Karen know that his ok.
Martin feels bad because his Martin and now no longer ' mr nice guy' veg man.

No, Phil will be ok. He was in the pub leaving all the bad stuff to Ben to ' sort out'
