Poor Chantelle: jags seems so nice. Her 5 minute interaction with her old school friend had more warmth and sincerity than any time spent with her abusive nasty controlling husband. He'll make sure she doesn't speak to him much!

That was a really depressing ending tonight. I thought she was starting to feel a bit more defiant towards gray recently but it seems he’s beaten her back into submission. do you think she really believes she was at fault for that tonight? Or is she saying it to keep him nice?

I read it as trying to keep Gray on side as the pregnancy test was negative and she can feel his resentment over her speaking to Jags and Karen having the party etc. I guess she doesn't want to get hurt anymore , so she is just pandering to him for now.

Between that, what they’re doing to Whitney and Phil’s treatment of Sharon (literally throwing her on the ground) it’s been a really depressing couple of weeks for female characters at the hands of men.

I don’t think Chantelle meant any of it. She was scared he wouldn’t let her go to hospital and needed to keep him on side.

I think she was genuinely telling him that she was at fault. I guess he has put her down so often and confused her, that she thinks it is her own fault.

I really hope that she tells the hospital staff the truth and they call the police.

I thought her expression said "this is what he wants to hear"
