What on earth am I watching?

And why can't they pronounce fusilier or Namibia (but have no problem with correctly saying Windhoek!)?

Yes, even hearing some of the video and descriptions is too, too much. I've just finished episode 1.

The 'story' is bizarre, the production is bizarre, the fact that I'm going to watch episode 2 is bizarre...

I think the Fusilier pronunciation was a word they didn't know and were saying as seen

The end sentence is odd too. Why make a documentary and then tell people they had a hand in creating people like him by watching it.

Yes and it showed more animal abuse than I felt comfortable watching but not so much I couldn't finish it

Just finished watching all three episodes, I had to know if they caught the sick bastard before I went to bed. Such a twisted mind, they showed clips of the videos but not the actual act. There is photos of the dead kittens just to warn people. I felt so sorry for the family of the man that was murdered, he wasn't really focused on and the poor guy lost his life. The murderers mother is delusional!

I watched it all yesterday.
Shocking story and couldn't believe I have no recollection of the events.

The man was hungry for fame and notoriety and this documentary would feed that.

Very compelling viewing. A PP has described the premise well: guy posts a video killing kittens. People track him down and so on.

I've just finished watching it, tried yesterday and I had to turn it off as I was scared I was going to see the full animal abuse videos. As someone else has said, you don't see the actual part but you get the picture. I did fast forward the kitten in the bath & on the bed though. There's 3 videos in total with a PP describing the vacuum bag (which I kept quickly pressing back on my remote until I read this thread!)

For anyone else who wants to skip that part, I didn't miss anything just quickly fast forwarded those two parts. I'm not sure what happened in the bath but the video on the bed he brings a snake out with the kitten there I remember naively watching a bit of that video when people would share awful things on Facebook years ago. So I skipped past it I never want to see that again.

I can't actually understand his mother in this.. How can she still have pictures up of him & even go on this documentary and defend him so publicly? There is absolutely no way he did all this other than for fame, he failed as an actor so thought this type of "attention" would be better than nothing at all.

I feel so sorry for Lin Jun & his family.

I love Netflix making a murderer etc and it sounded interesting but 10 mins in I had to switch it off had my hands up to my face but it was the noises couldn't handle that at all had that part been more censored I'd of watched to the end

What a bizarre production - the drama, the music, the people, the illogical ending. Fact is definitely stranger than fiction. How did they get so much access to people and places? Why no update on him?

I wish that the videos had all been more censored and I wish that there'd been more of a memorial to Lin Jun.

It was bonkers. I think the ending was ok, they didn't bother trying to speak to Luca or go into too much detail about his court case etc. So therefore weren't giving him the publicity he craved.
But wtf was up with the female detective? She must have been the worst detective in the world.
