Is anyone watching Michael McIntyre? AJ seems to have a bit more of a sense of humour on this.

VanyaHargreeves · 14/12/2019 21:53

I got interrupted just at the end!

Excellent result

If Danny and Oti fell out (Lovers Tiff?) then her comment is understandable

His Dad obviously bares less hard feelings over his stunt than MNers

I always thought there was something a bit off when she deleted lots of her Instagram pictures of her & Danny Mac, I wondered if they'd had a bit of a tiff after Strictly final.

I didn't realise she'd done that? He's certainly been vocally supporting her and Kelvin on Twitter.

DingDongSchadenfreudeOnHigh · 14/12/2019 21:55

Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude. Your skills are needed for the second soprano part of the Demons' Chorus.

TheMustressMhor · 14/12/2019 21:56

Jesus, Blufffin you keep gin in your bedside cabinet?

I am clearly missing a trick.

TitsInAbsentia · 14/12/2019 21:59

Nah, Bluffin keeps her teef in it Wink

I think Emma has just gone a bit heavy with the 'tox and it's not done her face any favours.

DingDongSchadenfreudeOnHigh · 14/12/2019 22:00

Very beautiful cat. Very beautiful.

A cat like that could seduce kippers out of Mr Schaden. H'e a sucker for a nice pu-

er - I'm sorry - I'll start again.

He over-indulges our cats and they are a pair of ugly bruisers - he's faint at the dainty little paws of your kitten.

Theromanempire · 14/12/2019 22:06

No, I know her eyes are permanently wide...I meant she seemed very hesitant throughout as if she had no clue what move was next!

TheMustressMhor · 14/12/2019 22:06

Ha!

McVicar is a kitten no longer.

Do not be fooled by that "I am a delicate and beautiful kitten" look which she has perfected.

So pleased that Kelvin and Oti won. He was fab and I love Oti!

TheMustressMhor

Jesus, Blufffin you keep gin in your bedside cabinet?

Yes. Since two of my adult children are currently staying at the hotel of mum, it’s practically the only hiding place I have left.

TheMustressMhor · 14/12/2019 22:25

@Bluffin

This is why DH and I moved to a one-bedroomed bungalow.

Let me placemark on the new thread (as I’m exhausted).

In brief:

It was so much fun! Worth the waiting for hours!

Great company in the queue.

Taylor Swift was recorded last week so not there.

I enjoyed all the dances. I couldn’t even be critical about Anton & Emma.

Will return with a full report tomorrow.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 14/12/2019 22:39

Just finished watching. I wanted Emma & Anton but happy for Kelvin. It’s great that a Reserve won the show. Not sure what’s going on with kelvins parents & wife. There was zero interaction between them at all.

Clawdy · 14/12/2019 22:43

Shirkey seemed to be pissed from the beginning.

HairyToity · 14/12/2019 22:50

Although Kelvin was a reserve, I'd heard of him. Most of the first choice stars (including person Kelvin replaced) I didn't have a clue on.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 14/12/2019 22:56

@WineOrGinOrBoth his wife was definitely hugging his dad - they showed it briefly and then the camera went back to the dance floor.

Encyclo · 14/12/2019 23:40

Just watched the dances back and for me, the two stand out dances were Karims jive and Kelvins show dance.

Emma's Viennese waltz was really beautiful too.

I'm delighted for Kelvin, but I saw an odd energy between his wife and his parents too @wineorgin

Probably just editing.

MaggieFS · 15/12/2019 00:10

I'm sticking around for the post mortem! Also waiting to hear back from pp on the old thread (Jane?) for all of the behind the scenes info.

I do think it's a shame there isn't one last ITT. The end always seems so sudden, announce the winner and boom, over, gone.

Horsemad · 15/12/2019 00:14

That'd be good @MaggieFS, to have one last ITT. 🙂

Starksforthewin · 15/12/2019 01:01

Happy for Kelvin, and especially Oti, who is a goddess and the best female pro in my view.

Shirley is an utter disgrace as a judge. She is constantly inappropriate, like a drunk Liverpool housewife on a day out at Aintree. She thinks the show is all about her, all that standing up and waving her arms about.

Disappointing series, rescued by Kelvin. I hope they don’t invite Jamie Laing back.

Please make Craig Head Judge, get rid of Tess and break away from the formulaic casting. Shut the audience up and give us appropriate music for each dance.

I might as well write that to Father Christmas as there is no hope for any of the above happening.

Horsemad · 15/12/2019 01:03

😆

olivertwistwantsmore · 15/12/2019 01:13

Lordy, what a long show. Thought the best dancer won. Karim too fake, Emma too mad looking. Love Oti’s choreography.

What I didn’t love about this series: Motsi. Generic Comments, no real analysis of dancers. Shirley: completely inappropriate behaviour, especially in last few shows. Was she pissed tonight?! All the standing up, shouting, bonkers comments.

Too many songs mangled by the pro dancers and Tess is REALLY annoying and fake and fucking patronising.

Apart from that, it was great... 🙄

VanyaHargreeves · 15/12/2019 01:18

The Motsi Problem

Don't forget she has already been on DWTS in other countries producers actively encourage fierce positivity, whereas in Britain we prefer to the point honesty

Could be cultural/finding her feet

On several occasions she has been visibly horrified by utterly standard Craigisms.

EnidButton · 15/12/2019 01:55

Thrilled with the result. Really enjoyed the whole show and have zero complaints about any of it.

Emma is lovely, Karim is very talented and Kelvin is amazing. Oti is my fave so extra pleased that they won.

Also liked them playing We Are Family (I got all my sisters with me...) at the end and was hoping for a Motsi and Oti moment but didn't spot one.

Fab-U-Lous.
