I hope Karim does his Hairspray dance in the final - definitely my favourite of the series

I have a nasty feeling that Emma will win to compensate Anton for not giving him the judge position - I really don't think she deserves to win

I will go all conspiracy theory if Emma wins, I suspect this might be Anton's swansong and I will scream FIX from the rooftops

DingDong and Anton’s never received 10’s before this series! The beeb have been bigging him up this series.

Darren looked a bit taut. Can't imagine he'd bother to have any work done though
I wish he'd done up his top button and tie aswell. It distracted me. Either go the whole hog an have a couple of buttons undone or make sure it's done up properly, not some scruffy half arse measure.

I just have a feeling (which could be completely wrong of course!) that this is Anton’s last series, and he / they already know this. It would explain why they are pushing him a bit this time - first 10’s in 17 years, etc.

Anton would make a terrible judge. He's really not that bright (I've seen him on non-steictly programmes!) and would be making wise cracking carry-on type jokes the whole time

I agree - I think Anton would be a terrible judge. Imagine all the corny jokes and catchphrases. Plus he’s hardly in a position to criticise some of the other pro’s. In any event, I think his moment has passed (the BBC tried him out with a load of presenting jobs a few years ago and he was crap, so I don’t know why they’d put him on the judging panel).

But corny jokes and catchphrases are a big part of strictly and at least they would come more naturally to Anton that to that great plank of woodeness Tess Daly

And to be fair, the judging has just become a pantomime, the audience aren't interested in hearing knowledgeable critique

Serious question - does anyone honestly think that the BBC would ignore the voting figures (assuming Kelvin gets the most votes) and announce Emma and Anton as the winners just as a 'leaving gift' for Anton? I know the BBC don't publish the voting figures so would anyone ever know?

I am so desperate for Kelvin to win as I really don't like Emma (not keen on Anton either) and I don't think she is as good as the judges are currently making out

Now I’m pretty much easyosey about Anton. But she was lucky to get in the final. My arse has less wobble getting out of the bath and that’s saying something.

She was about as steady on her feet than a blancmange on a spacehopper.

I mean its very CONSPIRACY THEORY I grant you roman BUT there was that time a few years ago when all the phonelines got done for being dodgy and not registering calls.

Anton has got an ITV presenting job this Christmas.

I don't believe they would dare ignore the votes. In fact, I think that why the dance off went ahead after the mix up a few weeks ago - some people had voted so they couldn't ignore it. But that's not to say they wont give Anton prime spot and try to manipulate...

Re Emma Eyes; thought her waltz was nice even though the cha cha was pretty bad.
Love SCD no matter what, but let’s face it, this series has been a bit meh for a whole host of reasons. For me, the most exciting thing about the final is, it’s wide open. Keep thinking Kelvin, but if all our theories about Tony Beak retiring are correct, could be Emma.... unless Karim pulls off something so astonishingly good, his detractors myself included have a change of heart and vote for him.
Depends what happens on the night. There’s no calling it.

Anton did a perfectly good job on the judging panel for The People's Strictly

If anything the truly robbed contestant of series 3 in hindsight was Zoe.

Nah, she allegedly had some lessons beforehand. Everyone talks about the EndOfPierPuppetShowdance throwing it for Colin but Goughy said in his autobiography that he had been told he was way ahead in the votes even before the freestyle and it was a done deal really

I do wish they would print the voting figures though. Donkeys on Ice print theirs - they are always interesting. Shimmy Jimmy was topping the vote every week from week 4 onwards. Week 1 Gemma had the highest
And by and large the eliminee in the series was the lowest vote apart from when the judges saved Saira over Richard and Saara over Bryan. Saara's public vote was weaker than Jane's as was Melody's. In fact she would have been a shock ice boot in week 3 were it up to the public alone and Gemma had a higher vote than two others the week she was eliminated.

I read that about Zoe - that she'd had private lessons before the show, and the same for Jason Donovan. I bet loads of them do - hell I would if I found out I'd be dancing on national telly! So many of them are suspiciously good very early on.
