Panic thread!

OP posts:

Your imaginary cat has my fleas. They kept on slipping into my enlarged pores and had to flit.

Shame really as they were a bit company...

NumbersStation · 25/11/2019 13:43

I’m not fond of cha thrice. Or samba really.

I’m a bit of a cahnt for the butter quickstep though.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/11/2019 13:49

As long as they remain imaginary, @NumbersStation, they can stay...

Mrsjayy · 25/11/2019 13:50

I love a good samba roll I was tutting at Aj and saffron was no rolling at all.

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 25/11/2019 14:00

Also, the 'joke' played on his dad was so spiteful. I was (am) genuinely shocked about that. It was so sad imagining him thinking Tess would introduce him and him taking time off work and telling his colleagues.

They might be the kind of family where those sorts of so-called practical jokes are par for the course but I agree with you Nikita. I couldn't help imagining how excited his dad would have been feeling to think he was going to be part of the show and to have made all those preparations, all for it to be an unfunny 'joke'. In fact I really hope they are that kind of family and Mr Fletcher pays Kelvin back for it, because the alternative makes me too sad to contemplate. Hopefully whoever interviews him and Oti on this week's ITT will be able to establish whether that is a normal family dynamic for them.

SoupDragon · 25/11/2019 14:01

Wiki tells me that there were 5 Cha-Cha-chas in week one, 2 in week 2, 1 in Weeks 3, 4, 5 & 6... loads of them! And yes, both Dev and Catherine went out on theirs.

SoupDragon · 25/11/2019 14:02

I would not have known that there had been any without Wiki though 😂

Mrsjayy · 25/11/2019 14:03

I hate practical jokes they really make me uncomfortable so yes maybe the Fletchers found it a hoot but there was sharp intakes of breath when Kelvin was relaying his not so hilarious story !

Mrsjayy · 25/11/2019 14:06

The faffing abaht distracts and I don't recognise my Jives from my Chasx 3

NumbersStation · 25/11/2019 14:08

Fleas are better than mould @Myimaginarycathasfleas Grin

I hope they have Kelvin’s dad reading the T&C next week. No one knows their family’s wind up background - it could be stuff of legend. If it was a one off then not nice. But... I am looking forward to the explanation/back story on ITT. If I’m honest, Kelvin doesn’t come across as a nasty hooer at all in my book.

And I’ve met enough nasty hooers in my time to smell them from miles away.

Although it might just be my smell Sad

SoupDragon · 25/11/2019 14:08

Jive is on my "I know what this is!" list. It's a very short list.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/11/2019 14:09

I’m told I’m passable as a human in real life

I expect that could be said of most of us here. Little do they know

Indeed, fleas . . . We walk among them, and they have no idea . . .

Grin
SoupDragon · 25/11/2019 14:09

It would be amazing if Kelvin's dad read the T&C 😂 Without telling Kelvin.

DarlingNikita · 25/11/2019 14:10

In fact I really hope they are that kind of family and Mr Fletcher pays Kelvin back for it
I hadn't thought about that Grin

NumbersStation · 25/11/2019 14:13

He could streak across the dance floor during Kelvin’s show dance Grin

Imagine the glorious wobbling as everything would have due to the bounce in the floor.

G’wan Mr Fletcher. Do us proud. Note to vicky - go on and make a spangly budgie smuggler to protect his modesty ...

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 25/11/2019 14:33

It would be amazing if Kelvin's dad read the T&C 😂 Without telling Kelvin.

Yes! Who do we need to campaign to make this happen?

ppeatfruit · 25/11/2019 14:37

Sorry to sound ignorant Numbers I'm sure I'll know the person (if it is a person ! ) when you tell what Biffa stands for please?

64sNewName · 25/11/2019 14:38

Yeah, that dad story completely put me off Kelvin.

I don’t think I’d vote for him now (I wasn’t anyway so far but I’d nothing against him, just thought others needed the votes more). But now I’m just a bit like Angry

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 25/11/2019 14:43

I'm not Numbers but Biffa = Cheryl Cole (possibly not her current surname - is she even using a surname these days?)

ppeatfruit · 25/11/2019 14:58

Ohhh thanks Only I did wonder if it was, but the 2 names don't have much in common !

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 25/11/2019 15:42

ppeatfruit I think the nickname arose from the incident a few years back when she punched / 'biffed' a toilet attendant.

Shangrilalala · 25/11/2019 16:20

Thanks for the updates on the Cha x many. I’d forgotten all about those earlier dances. I do like it, so am delighted it’s still with us.

MyNameIsJane · 25/11/2019 16:41

I think I have tickets for the final! I have a text but no email yet. Has anyone got any experience of the ticket process. (I was at the point where I had given up hoping of getting a ticket)

theliverpoolone · 25/11/2019 17:05

Re Kelvin's dad, my guess was that when Kelvin said it initially, he expected his dad to say 'over my dead body', not expecting him to be up for it. His mistake was to then keep it going, instead of saying straight off that he was just joking. I hate that sort of thing too, and agree it didn't show Kelvin in a good light - the thought of Mr Fletcher going for his haircut made me feel really Sad . I think they realised it wasn't looking good as they cut Kelvin off before he could get to the point of saying how he broke the truth to dad.

Costacoffeeplease · 25/11/2019 17:24

I hope they’ve had complaints about it, and make him explain/apologise on ITT
