I don't know what MV means about taking risks with the dance? I think as pp have said it must be very differently perceived in the US. She seems to think it was pushing the boundaries in some way??

TwattingDog · 18/11/2019 18:43

She's not standing by her dancing ability though - she's very clear that it was all about the LGBTQ / drag communities, and that's what ultimately failed her.

Not people's homophobia or transphobia, the attempt to use Strictly as a political statement.

Gio might be standing by their dancing, but he's not supporting her political statement.

Bearbehind · 18/11/2019 18:44

Why does she wear those stupid huge glasses?

Binglebong · 18/11/2019 18:44

Previously really liked and rated Michelle but do not like this side of her. Gio looks quite glad to be out.

Both oddly static watching the best bits.

Horsemad · 18/11/2019 18:45

Yawn... Give us a break Shell Face. Of course we understand it - it was crap, that was why you were voted off! 🙄

Encyclo · 18/11/2019 18:46

Michelle: Gio can we dance this week?

Gio: One word. No.

Hahahaha

Binglebong · 18/11/2019 18:46

His body language is weird. I'm not into conspiracy theories but would love to know the realities of this

Awrite · 18/11/2019 18:54

Poor Gio. Michelle said something along the lines of 'he was dropped to this earth to teach me to dance'. Narcissist much?

It was all about her.

Strictly doesn't need school in acceptance. How dare she?

Awrite · 18/11/2019 18:55

schooled in acceptance.

Horsemad · 18/11/2019 18:56

Maybe the USA is behind the UK in terms of acceptance and MV thought we needed to be taught about it...?! Confused

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/11/2019 18:56

Judges have to try and be impartial and overcome their natural biases and just vote for the best dance. There is enough bias coming from the voters.

Well said, Rebecca

Binglebong · 18/11/2019 19:06

Gio doesn't seem the most egotistical of the pros (some are remarkable!) so that comment about him not being used to any resistance felt off. I think he has probably had a horrible time.

I shall wait for his tell all book in ten years! Grin

NumbersStation · 18/11/2019 19:22

Bloody love Joe Varney.

And I bloody love bats Smile

Just not self obsessed bats. Grin

NumbersStation · 18/11/2019 19:24

And I was dropped to this earth to consume jaffacakes in order to nurture my inner core of cow or bat

I can say I manage my mission most weeks. Grin

Theromanempire · 18/11/2019 19:29

In other (non Vogue) news - it is the battle of Couples Choice from the leading men next week. I am shocked that they are both doing it the same week Shock

Karim's is contemporary so I am sure Kelvins won't be as that would be too much alike. I assume Kelvin is going for the Northern Soul angle. Wonder if he'll bang on about doing it for the misunderstood Northern community and then accuse Shirley (a fellow northerner) of failing to support him if she doesn't give him a 10 Grin Grin

Horsemad · 18/11/2019 19:34

Oh now, a Strictly Kiss & Tell would be good! 😁

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/11/2019 19:35

Always be true to yourself Numbers. Grin

covetingthepreciousthings · 18/11/2019 19:38

Karim & Kelvin are both doing couples choice on the same week... why?!? Hmm

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 18/11/2019 19:40

Theroman Grin

Just caught up with ITT and see MV is still banging on about our failure to understand voguing/her mission statement/the LGBTQ story... etc her galloping megalomania, and yes, those ridiculous specs The mother of all massive egos, never mind anyone else.

As other PPs have said, she must not understand how aware we generally are on this side of the Atlantic.... this isn’t Bible Belt Oklahoma.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 18/11/2019 19:44

On a different note, I have a feeling Karim’s CC is going to let him down horribly, I don’t know why.

LittleAndOften · 18/11/2019 20:00

@Bluffinwithmymuffin I applaud him for going outside his comfort zone, but I am skeptical that he will be able to convey the sentiment in the way that Will did.

Zoidbergonthehalfshell · 18/11/2019 20:01

@kazzaD66 - fair enough! Smile

I've been trying to think of a bat-related dance, but the best I can do is Die Fledermaus yes I know it's an opera

iklboo · 18/11/2019 20:04

I've been trying to think of a bat-related dance,

Bat dance by Prince maybe?

2Rebecca · 18/11/2019 20:05

I still maintain that Voguing is not a gay thing in my part of Scotland among the gay people (who are mainly lesbian) I know. I'm not saying no gay people do vogueing but she's carrying on like it's something all gay people are heavily in to. My gay friends tend to have a variety of hobbies just like my straight friends. My son's gay Friend in Glasgow takes him to the local gay nightclub that plays dance music and similar music to the other Glasgow nightclubs, although my son said he preferred the music there to the other clubs. Maybe his gay friend goes off Vogueing without him but it didn't sound like a gay engineering student thing. Art students may enjoy all that posing around. It's probably enjoyed by the same people who enjoy mime and interpretive dance.

Binglebong · 18/11/2019 20:05

Bat out of hell?
