I have a theory that Louise is a double agent - she's pretending to go along with Phil & Ben so that they believe Keanu is dead, when all along she and Martin have let him escape. She'll then leave with Lisa at some point in the new year, and meet back up with Keanu, knowing that Phil/Ben won't be looking for them and her family is safe.

I do t to k Louise is that smart. Mel would have been able to pull that off but brains don’t feature highly in the Mitchell genes!

Ooh I loved Eldorado as well! Granted it made Crossroads look Oscar worthy at the beginning but it became really good and it was so lovely to watch on a dismal British winter evening, RIP Eldorado.

When they have strong women, what was her name that Nadia Sawalha played and Mel for eg, their characters are treated quite differently to the men.

I mean I don't want the women to beat up the men but something else should be done. Maybe Ruby is looking a stronger example of a woman. She's won her rape case, isn't now a victim, successful businesswoman (albeit from her dads ill gotten gains) and her open relationship with Max she's not played as a "slag" but modern and knowing what she wants. Tiff could go that way too. And Bernadette.

Yes ruby sprang to mind too as a current strong woman character.

Ruby is a good example of someone who knows her own mind.
