Btw I don’t understand what happened. Gray told her the hotel was double booked but when Chantelle phoned them, they phoned back and told her it wasn’t booked. So did gray never book it in the first place? To give her the job of finding somewhere else last minute-knowing she would fail? So he could beat her?

Patrick throwing Denise out of her home
Denny calling his mother a slapper and treating her like shit, to name but a few incidents these past few days. We need the women of Albert square to rise up and show the men their physical aggression won’t win. Sharon is the daughter of Dirty Den and Angie, the apple does not fall far from the tree, come on Sharon! you are your fathers daughter lets see you in action!

There have been some dark flashes in Lou this week which make me think that they are setting her up to step into the family firm, maybe take Ben's place. When she said tonight that she's not the weak link, it seemed she was saying to Phil that she is a proper member of the clan.

Do you think the Patrick/Sheree storyline is done? If it is, she was a pretty pointless character. It was good to see Kim back the other day though, albeit only by Skype.

The Mitchell's are ripe for bringing down. Wish Lola hadn't said she was a Mitchell. She's not and she could do with distancing herself.

The stuff with Shirley and Sharon arguing for so long was a bit unbelievable; can't really imagine how they could argue for so long. Suppose it was for comic relief?

I think the hotel phoned Gray to say that the hotel was double booked. He then told Chantelle to ring around to find another hotel and one of them rang to say they had had a cancellation but she told them she didn't need the hotel any more as she wanted to postpone the renewals until Spring. In the meantime Gray decided to renew the vows in his living room officiated by Karen (I don't understand how or why as surely they are absolutely meaningless but I suppose all renewals are meaningless really and don't need an official for legal reasons). What a happy festive note tonight ended on with Grey leading Chantelle upstairs so he could marital rape her :(
I can only assume she has taken steps to ensure she will not get pregnant.

On a lighter note I love the way Phil says KeanO.

Was looking at the papers talk of festive eastenders and the online edition of the Express (I know) said that it had been revealed that Keanu had had an affair with Sharon Osborne. ConfusedGrin

But when the hotel rang Chantelle she was confused and told them her husband said they were booked up. She looked shocked/scared Then she thought for a second and made up the lie about him finding somewhere else.

No deaths or big story lines just a woman happy to be rid of her abusive husband and not on eggshells or eating salad to keep him happy! A positive message.
