Tennis thread: it's almost the off-season, but the tennis chat continues!

It's not quite time to don your woolly jumpers or stoke up your log fires for the winter - still some tennis to be played this season!

An exciting, mathematically challenging WTFs continues, new Davis Cup soon, etc...

Private bar the odd twinges, ( and constant lower back pain, but I'm used to that) they are behaving, thank you for asking.

I am hoping this means they have gone away, and I will be spared the water bath treatment . I treated myself to new knickers yesterday- and a bra, no less, though I've no plans to strip that far (won't get asked back if I do). Sainsbury's had 25% off, so it seemed rude not to - and my white things are looking more the colour of Stef's winter tennis kit (patchy grey).

I’ve just watched the Andy Murray documentary - wow I feel as if I’ve been through the wringer - it was very emotional (and a bit gory at times)

He was so dedicated and determined to come back from his injury - would definitely recommend watching it if you can (but have the tissues ready)

There is some AC footage (probably more grim than the surgery footage ) and I think there’s also an appearance from Stan’s bear

Overall I think he came over well but bet he is a pain to live with but that’s mainly because of his determination and single mindedness. Nice house and cute kids - Kim (or Kimberley as she’s referred as) still has lovely swishy hair.

I feel a bit worn out now - might need to put on a Christmas film . Last night someone was telling me how great Last Christmas was - I could barely keep a straight face.

Thanks for the warning about the gory AC footage Fizzy. I will be hovering over the fast forward button.

I've been Christmas shopping today and my folks are coming over for tea - but I might try and watch tonight if I get a chance. It does sound a bit draining. Will be looking out for the bear!!

I don't know about the RAH tennis. Did it used to be shown on an ITV channel at one stage? Can't remember now

Apparently, he's on Jonathan Ross tonight, not that I watch it.

I know the RAH has started because Greg was tweeting about it. It definitely used to be on TV but I don't think it was in last year IIRC. I can't see it anywhere in the TV guide.

Ah that’s a lovely picture of RBA and his wife Jane - they do look happy but it must have been a strange day for them. His wife is very beautiful and I like her dress.

Just watched the Murray documentary. Really enjoyed it. It certainly shows how hard professional sports people work but it was great to see how close his whole team are.

Fizzy agree about his house and Kim's hair and yes, there was Stan's bear

Cutest moment was when his family were at home watching him on the tv at Queens and one of his daughters pointed at the screen and said "daddy!"

I see Sascha Zverev has taken up with another supermodel type. All over Instagram on their hols in Mexico. (She is Mexican, named Brenda. A less supermodel name never existed)

The ATP ought to put together the Maldives Open in December. The players must be running into each other all the time.

It’s very odd that the ATP has held back the results of their awards this year. Normally they come out during the O2 week, but initially it was stated they would be announced at the new ATP Cup in January, but the latest is they are going to be released on 17 December.
Strange. Not much opportunity to make PR hay at that point.

Oh that is a bit weird about the awards - they were probably trying to draw people in to the ATP Cup with them - bit odd.

These tennis players and models, honestly!! I read that Sascha and his gf met in a supermarket (that is so one of those things that I post on here and think, wait that can't be right can it?!). Like what kind of supermarket has tennis players and models just so happening to shop there at the same time? None that I ever go to anyway

It’s probably similar to the supermarket that Rafa goes to in Wimbledon (not Tesco Express!) I’ve never seen any tennis players or models in my local Aldi

I hope Sascha’s girlfriend knows what she’s letting herself in for (laundry, booking his hotels, dig walking etc)
