I think Mike's dance was better, but as said yesterday he was fortunate it was a style which suited him. Had he been up against Emma's ballroom from a couple of weeks ago, it may have been a different story. The samba wasn't great, but the music was dull! Surely samba music should be full of life. Who keeps picking such shit music this series?

I thought "Dave" was Darcey Bussell - after someone misheard Dame Darcey Bussell as Dave Darcey Bussell - but I thought she turned 50 this year?

I always pop up on these threads with my Aljaz and Janette story - about 3 years ago DH won a private dance lesson with them in a charity raffle. They were so accommodating around the dates we could make it down to London from Scotland for the lesson (a time when we were in London anyway). I'm sure there were lots of other things they'd rather be doing on a Saturday afternoon than teach New Yorkers, kicks and flicks to a 11 year old girl but they were both so lovely, so friendly and made DD feel super-special.

Won't hear a bad word about either of them.

Now, as for the DO: to me it looks like Mike is embarrassed. His DO wasn't the better of the two imo. Emma's dance just didn't do it for me either time though. It's sad but that's life in SCD.

I thought Aljaz was absolutely charming, he is so lovely.

They've improved each other no end and are two of my favourite pros now, they're absolutely lovely people
Definitely. I don't remember there ever being a hint of unpleasantness with any of the celebs. They both always seem to get on so well with them.

Aljaz is very, very chatty. Janette kept telling him off and that he should get on with the dancing, not the chatting! They weren't giving much away about their celeb partners of the past though.

The studio we had the lesson in is in north London and regularly pops up on the training videos. DD remarks on it every single time.

I hadn't thought about "Dave" Darcey - we'd been talking about Dave Arch and I'd assumed it was him.

I've done a quick google and "Dave" Darcey is 50. (Just a girl)

I don't know but I hope we don't have to endure a third week of giant sports knickers, I had enough after the jive but Saturday was ridiculous, I don't think anyone would look good in them. Some sparkle would have made a big difference or just put her in hot pants and done with.

I will miss Emma's beautiful smile, it really cheered me up. I thought her dance was better than Mike's, but then I don't like the Charleston - too vaudeville and slapstick for me. I'm glad I gave my votes to Emma B but it was at Emma W's expense. I feel quite sad.

I often wonder about the training schedules.

Do the celebs travel home on Sunday, and then their pros travel to where they live and they train there, or does everyone train in London?
