Kelv the Pelv's shirt!

For an awful two seconds I just read that as Kelv the Perv, then I put my glasses on Shock

ElspethFlashman · 03/11/2019 15:06

Shirley was mean to Emma B, but I think she'd have given a higher score if Anton hadn't kept talking over her

No, the judges have to tap their score into a keypad immediately. This is literally something I only learnt this year after 15 years watching. Shock

I think I thought some poor PA was hovering with trembling finger poised over a keyboard, nerves in ribbons, sweating cobs, waiting for their paddles to be raised. Grin

ElspethFlashman · 03/11/2019 15:11

Motsi is becoming just this sparkly cheerleader which is so disappointing.

We'll have to start a drinking game to take a shot whenever she roars "YOU GO GIRL!"

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 03/11/2019 15:27

I like this suggestion. Although I might be unconscious by the time the leaderboard goes up.

Horsemad · 03/11/2019 15:29

🤣🤣🤣🤣 @Bluffinwithmymuffin

DarlingNikita · 03/11/2019 15:32

What, before they give their comments?

Horsemad · 03/11/2019 15:35

Yep, the other week I'm sure I saw Craig lean towards Motsi & tap something in on a keypad.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 03/11/2019 15:36

Yay to the drinking game idea, but think we need to include YOU WERE ON IT! and You brought it, you really delivered..... otherwise we will all be under the table before the end of the show for sure

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 03/11/2019 15:38

Horsemad

Yep, the other week I'm sure I saw Craig lean towards Motsi & tap something in on a keypad.

Does that mean she’s not even capable of scoring without help from her fellow judges?!

SchadenfiendeUnmortified · 03/11/2019 15:48

I am struggling to watch this series. I know so few of the contestants. The marking is all over the place. The wrong contestants have gone on a couple of occasions and as for Motsi!!!! She’s vacuous.

Ditto, Bubbles

Have seen rival matadors before. She should have done the knee walks.

OOooooh! Yes - you're right! The knee walks or that arrogant strutting. That would have been great!

Horsemad · 03/11/2019 16:17

@Bluffinwithmymuffin, haha Grin She was distracted by whoever had just danced (can't remember, might have been Mike doing his Alfonso impression) and I think Craig helped out.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 03/11/2019 16:26

Mike getting 8's is funny when you think back to Danny Mac and how he used to get 8's. You cannot even begin to compare the two.

That Charleston last night scored just one point fewer than Danny Mac's amazing cha cha in Week 1. I still rewatch that every now and then. Is there really only one point difference between the two?

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 03/11/2019 16:26

Horse Ah, I see...

SoupDragon · 03/11/2019 16:32

She should have done the knee walks

To be fair, she might not have been able to!

SoupDragon · 03/11/2019 16:34

That Cha Cha just shows that Danny Mac was the ringiest Ringer in town 😂

Horsemad · 03/11/2019 16:46

That Cha Cha was so gooood. 🙂

covetingthepreciousthings · 03/11/2019 16:53

I bet that Cha Cha would have got 10s if it hadn't have been week 1..

DarlingNikita · 03/11/2019 16:55

Ah, well then Shirley just had it in for that dance/Emma/Anton/all of the above!

SoupDragon · 03/11/2019 17:00

I bet that Cha Cha would have got 10s if it hadn't have been week 1..

Yes. That does show up the difficulty with having Ringers and beginners (competent or otherwise) up against each other though.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/11/2019 17:06

I really wanted them to do that cha cha again so they could fix all the wrong things in it (like Danny's unmoving free arm and his slightly dodgy spins). It's my second favourite of their dances, the AS being their best one, IMO.

Zoidbergonthehalfshell · 03/11/2019 17:07

I've just binge read this week's contributions- you make my week, you really do.

I wish Kelvin would stop with his concentrating face, the one where he closes his mouth and shoves his (not inconsiderable) jaw forward - it makes him look like a benevolent gorilla, especially when he has stubble!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 03/11/2019 17:09

I loved Danny. OK, Jay's jive was something special but I rewatch so many of Danny's dances. Couldn't care less that he was a ringer - just love watching him dance.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 03/11/2019 17:26

That Cha Cha just shows that Danny Mac was the ringiest Ringer in town 😂

Not half, but boy, wasn’t he fantastic.... just watched the cha cha and going through all his dances now, can’t stop watching. You can’t help applauding and whooping and shouting yes!! even though you’re all on your own and looking quite sad

SchadenfiendeUnmortified · 03/11/2019 17:30

And Emma/ Anton didn't deserved a 5, especially if Chris and Mike get 8s and 9s.

Damn right, Inkanta

Wheresthebeach · 03/11/2019 17:40

I've never warmed to Shirley, but really disliking her approach this year. Clear favourites like Mike, who can't dance, and just nasty to Emma B.

I suspect the lack of practice is a nightmare for Anton, and there is nothing he can do about it. Kelvin is doing 12 hour days apparently, so how can someone only doing 2 or 3 possibly compete? I really don't understand why you'd do the show if you couldn't put in the hours?

I think Craig should be head judge, get rid of Shirley and only have three. Shirley liking anti Anton tweets is the height of unprofessional, can't use the 'heat of the moment' argument for that behaviour!

Every professional that has talked back has gotten the sack - Brendan, James J so suspect Anton for the chop if he doesn't toe the line. Mind you, it must be galling to just have to smile and nod as someone tears about your partner's performance - not sure why they aren't allowed to respond (disagree) in some way to the critic.
