I'm wondering why Anton and Emma weren't up on Claud 9 at any point in the evening...

The producers certainly have the hots for Chris, don't they? I suspect he's been getting a gazillion votes and they see him as a cash cow.

He got it all tonight: the Overcoming Adversity story (he had spots you know!), the Lovely Parents, the Lovely Weepy Wife who he Loves in Manly Northern Style, BabyWarz, and finally a really bizarre stompy routine that gets marks higher than Elton John in the 70s.

Mike Bushell was a refreshing performance who made me smile.

I have to hand to Katya, she really gets the best out of her celebs.

She also under dances quite well according to their ability. I thought AJ really showed Saffron up this week by comparison.

My new working theory is that they want Anton to win so that he'll finally just fuck off, so they're undermarking and being mean to get his fans to rally behind him. And Emma knows she's seen as a ringah so she's deliberately underdancing until the last couple of weeks. Maybe.

I think Kevin underdances a bit. Or at least never pulls attention away from his celeb. He dances great of course, but he doesn't do a Johannes.

I have just caught up (got my priorities right, bought my tix first!) and I think Shirley should have had the week off. Emma looked like she was about to cry, Bruno could see it. Wonder how long before Anton loses his cool altogether?

She goes through the old-timers, first Brenda and now Anton. And yet consistently overmarks others.

I really hope it is Mike’s turn this week. I can’t bear him. And I’m not sure why the judges keep saving him. If he’s consistently in the bottom two but is marked highish, it shows that he hasn’t got the public support.

Whatever is going on with Anton and Emma B, that whole thing (dance plus aftermath) was difficult to watch.

Someone said that Shirley gave Mike the same score as Kelvin - is that true??!!

I want Saffron to go. The best thing I could say about her this week is that her figure is really great for her "follawas" to see. She looks so strong and healthy and normal. Everything else was pretty bad.

I like Mike. I think they've tried too hard to make him a comedy contestant and he's had to cope with some rotten theming. He always seems to try hard and to listen and try to improve. I'm not saying he's fantastic, but I like the fact he's working hard.

I feel very sorry for Emma B. If she'd been Karim it would have been "lovely and flowing". On watching back it does all run a bit together, but I really don't think it was that bad!

Emma W looked a bit like she'd had a couple of Proseccos and was then dragged onto the floor by Aljaz. Very loose and relaxed looking.

It's a shame for Emma B. She could've been amazing with another partner - think Alijaz with Kate Silverton and the way Gio develops his partners.

It’s supposed to be a dancing competition and Mike does little of it. Entertainment and comedy are not the same thing. He’s very stompy and that’s the same each week. Over marked tonight but even if he’s in the dance off, he’ll stay unless he’s really against a competitor they like and couldn’t possibly go.

I am struggling to watch this series. I know so few of the contestants. The marking is all over the place. The wrong contestants have gone on a couple of occasions and as for Motsi!!!! She’s vacuous. I assume she’s had lessons from the American judges to be so naff. What’s the point of saying anything if you rarely critique what you have seen? It’s just transatlantic noise. Every American judge that appears does exactly the same thing. They don’t know how to critique dance. No wonder DB wanted to go.

He needs to get his knees back, or he's never going to be able to stretch his steps. It's also why his bum seems to stick out so badly. It's fine to have a bit of a curve in your spine there but then your thighs need to go down in a straight line from it.

What contestant is not working hard? They all work like shit! Liking someone for having a go isn’t a great way to vote. All of them are!

Karim - Perfectly fine routine. It's just I like Flavia and Jimi more. Sadly I cannot find theirs. STOP THE HEART HANDS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
Michelle - Did not like costume or music. At one point she looked like she was rubbing her thighs a la Vic Reeves. Have seen rival matadors before. She should have done the knee walks.
Viscountess - I know he's a 10 dancer but sometimes I wonder about Aljaz's sambas. Sleepy Gemma, Mummy Helen but nothing to disguise Emma's lack there.
Kelvin - Overmarked. Rise and Fall evident. Oti's dress lovely.
Saffron - Feel the same way I felt about Vick's jive to Feel it still. The music should have helped sell the routine but didn't. When you have a slightly bigger lass - Gemma, Saffron - you'd be better doing Salsa Smooth.
Alex - Great lifts and super smiley. Kev stop gurning. Still some stiffness when in frame where it felt like she was being moved like IKEA furniture. I hope to God there is not a dip in marks next Saturday or Neil haters will be out in force.
Chris - Flat and full out BabyWarz WifeWarz and NorthEast DedNormalMe going on. Shitty hats, shitty prop, bloody awful green and pink trackies. Routine itself fine otherwise.
EmmaB - Reminded me of Vorderrumba. Not good. Not helped by the stalkery comedy beginning and glasses throw. Cringed. Like a bad coke advert and we had Aljaz/Alison do that already. Full metal Tits in that dress. Tess looked better had it been a dress. Anton talking over Shirley is doing a Brenda. Makes it easier for his haters to do the Emma would be better with AnyonebutAnton when he did a solid rumba with Katie. Lord knows what happened there.
Mike - Has very blue eyes. Is a sweetie. Works hard. Decent costume but lost his timing and badly compares against Pasha and Kimberley's iconic routine.

Who goes? Who cares. They were all lacklustre. Boo. Moo. Shrug. Bah humbug.

Bubbles, I don't like him because he's having a go. I like the fact I can watch his routines and see that he's obviously trying to learn properly. Say in his tango last week, he did a reverse turn crossing his feet in the right place, and the link making sure to drop into his back leg with both sets of toes pointing the same way and his knees working inwards. You can fudge it and it's easier, but he did it properly.

It depends what you like. I don't like him for the 'entertainment factor'. I like him because I think his technique and footwork is better than some of the others and although he made some mistakes tonight, his timing is usually spot on and he actually seems to lead. I don't think he has many more weeks left in him, and I'd agree he's sometimes been overmarked, but I definitely feel more invested in him than say... Karim, who's dancing everything like a stage show routine.
