Doc Martin - anyone watching?

Love this show and find it a bit of light relief and easy to watch.

Anyway, has anyone noticed that the the random patients’ names that Martin or Morwenna shout out are funny names? I might have imagined it but am sure I registered something last week (tend to be on my screen whilst I’m watching) but this week I definitely heard him say Iona Castle. Just me or does everyone know this inside joke?

Is the last series good then? I’m about to finish my Midsomer Murders reruns and was thinking about starting Doc Martin.

I’m I heard I own a castle and wondered who’d said it.

I heard one in last week's that I thought was amusing but I can't recall it now - was a famous name I think.

In Gavin and Stacy the families are named after famous murderers. (Shipman is one of them)

Iona Castle is brilliant! And I also heard last week's but have forgotten it.
I now want to watch earlier series to see if they've always done this.

I still have last nights on the planner but I came on to say that I absolutely love Doc Martin! Such a lovely hour of easy viewing.

I event went to Port Isaac a couple of years ago, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

I'm not enjoying this series as much as I did the others. This week's episode was good though. Loved seeing more of Al and the doc with his patients. Can not stand the policeman. I just see him and think 'twat'.

We’ll have to listen out for next week’s name.

If you’re ever watch Car Share, some of the signs that they drive past are quite funny too. Can’t think of any offhand but they’ve obviously been put there deliberately for the show.

One of my friends is an actor in it and apparently it takes ages to film because they only film on sunny days, so as Cornwall is very wet it takes them ages to find a good day to film.

I rent a house out to the production company in Port Isaac and they have it from mid March to late July. So yes, they wait for sunny days!

We always manage to laugh out loud at it and enjoy it. Nice easy watching.
