Doc Martin - anyone watching?

Love this show and find it a bit of light relief and easy to watch.

Anyway, has anyone noticed that the the random patients’ names that Martin or Morwenna shout out are funny names? I might have imagined it but am sure I registered something last week (tend to be on my screen whilst I’m watching) but this week I definitely heard him say Iona Castle. Just me or does everyone know this inside joke?

Oh I really want another series! I love it. It's one of the few series where I like everyone in it. And I want to see Janice and Penhale back together, and Martin and Louisa's new baby.

I really want another series too. It doesn’t feel ‘finished’ yet.

I also want the Docs resignation to have gone down like a cup of cold sick and the GMC to come crawling back and begging him to practice again. I don’t care for realism in my doc Martin world 🤣

I hadn’t realised until DH pointed it out. That Doc Martin is 60 and going to become a father, how old is Louisa meant to be?

They don’t look like there is a big age gap.

I’m surprised that he was 60 that’s all.

I think there’s meant to be an age gap and she’s meant to be early 40s I could be wrong though.

Caroline Catz is 50 and Martin Clunes 57.

He could be either 50 or 60 in the series - I know someone asked is it his 60th birthday in that episode but not sure if he was sarcastic? If his me tor is in his 70s (?) then he’d be more than 10 years younger?
