The cringiest Bruce moment ever was when he ask Louis Smith which was better, a silver medal at the Olympics or the Strictly glitter ball. Louis just looked totally gobsmacked that anyone would even ask that.

I remember loads of us wanting him to retire - I can't recall a huge demand for Tess to take over.

It was when he was off sick and Tess and Claudia took over temporarily

His last year or two were a bit of an uncomfortable watch as his health and faculties deteriorated. Tess was increasingly having to give him cues and awkwardly direct him to his next camera spot.

That's not good about the accents Clawdy. I put it down to his age (relatives same age occasionally come out with similar crap) but he really should've known better. Inexcusable.

To change the subject, did anyone notice last evening in ITT Alex and Neil saying they were both sure they were going to be in the DO last weekend because they thought that Dev was in it for the long term?

ppeatfruit, I also saw ITT last night and thought they came across very well. They're doing Charleston this week, which I'll miss as I'm out but I hope she learns to relax and just enjoy the moment.

The Xmas special is just old Strictly people now, isn't it? I used to like it better when they had a mix of those and other random celebs. Sheila Hancock stands out in my memory particularly.

I've just caught up on all the ITT for this week. Doesn't Melvin Odoom have a lovely voice, I'd forgotten that about him. I've never heard of Jade Adams before, but she tells it like it is which I really enjoyed. How tall is she? She looked about 7 ft, but then she was sitting beside Melvin who isn't much taller than Janette IIRC, so perhaps it was just the comparison that made her look extra tall.

I reckon they'll put Dev into the Christmas special to make up for his untimely exit, that's what they did with both Melvin and Aston. Dev would be sure to win it, just like Melvin and Aston did, because the public will still be feeling a bit guilty that they didn't vote for him when he didn't deserve to be in the bottom two.

Melvin was really bad in ordinary strictly though. He wasn't robbed of that at all.

Regarding Tess- if they ever got rid of Tess, we wouldn’t be able to complain about her rubbish presenting skills and her tragic outfits . Part of my ‘enjoyment’ of Strictly is having a good old moan about Tess

Is Rylan as tall as David James? If he's the same height or less than he'd be ok with Nadyia. I still think Johannes would be a good partner for him though.

I think Rylan’s 6’ 4”, so probably about the same as David. Johannes looks tall as well - going by when he’s standing next to the others.
