Theromanempire, yes, it's true. I think he might be quite embarrassed/pissed off by the judges' squealing and the constant encouragement for the audience to flap and perve over him too.

It's interesting... the lack of any reactions often gets commented on as something negative. As if they expected to get those scores/comments (I'm not sure "arrogant" is the right word. "Self confident" maybe?). It all depends on the popularity of the contestant I think!

These threads are always interesting in the way they show how different people's perceptions can be of the same events.

Yep, I don't think anyone has managed to find any dance experience in Kelvin's history- I think its assumed he went to stage school because he's been a child star snd therefore must be a ringer but he didn't. He's just naturally talented I guess?

Kelvin did a year of ballet at age 8 and has been in emmerdale ever since until about last year when his character went on the run, as they love to do on emmerdale.

Upthread someone said he'd been at Sylvia Young stage school which is an all round stage school experience, including dance I think. DD1 was on her agency books.

It was Kelvin because it was also mentioned that he was in Emmerdale (my least favourite TV soap). Starting as a child actor. They could both have been there I suppose.

Those articles I've found don't say that per se; he talks about being eight and doing ballet but not that he ONLY did it at that age ie for a year. Unless he is freakishly naturally talented, I'd think he's had a few years of some kind of training, whether ballet and/or something else.

I can't find anything online that says Kelvin went to Sylvia Young.
