Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

So Collette's sister is going to place a bet to try and win the money for Joe.

Have you missed the conversations between Joe and Steve Evans and then Evans and Colette's sister?

Collette's sister isn't having much luck with trying to place a bet.

Meanwhile the boxing match commences and I just want to yawn again. Are there any more episodes about boxing in the remaining series?

Joy looks very glam - I suppose she used to go to the Sergeant's mess with Tony before he got demoted, so she knows a bit about mess etiquette.

I saw that bit - it must have been something else that was cut.

Okay - it's nice seeing Joy again, and the Joe / Collette storyline is good, but I miss Paddy and Dave.

Not the best episode apart from seeing Joy again and learning she may have a better future ahead of her.

How are we fixed for next week? I should be able to do any day.

Hi ladies just popping on to say happy New Year to you all. Haven't been posting lately for all sorts of reasons. Laziness for one and then a long spell of what I will call a flue-like virus. Very debilitating. All well now though.
From what I read of your comments on last night's episode I think you are coming towards a spell of episodes that didn't quite seem to be of the same standard as we had become used to. However they did pick up again and some of the episodes towards the end of the whole thing were really good. Just maybe reinforces our opinion that changes of writers and directors can mess up a good series!

Hi Magi I was thinking about you a few days ago and wondered if you'd given up on us. There have been some awful bugs doing the rounds and a couple of my friends have really been knocked for six. Glad you're ok again.

You're right that some of the upcoming episodes aren't of the same calibre as ones we've already viewed. In the meantime, I will watch and drool over the lovely young Dougray Scott as Major Taylor! As Rhu said, so many actors passed in front of the cameras of Soldier Soldier.

Hi Ilove must agree a young Dougray Scott does merit a drool or two. I realise We started watching Soldier Soldier this time last year and of course I binge watched it, as did you, so am finding going over it again when you do your watchalong still enjoyable. Good choice when we needed something to keep us going after that pitiful last series of OG.

Haven't found out how to watch BA in Pennyworth but must say, having read a bit about it, it really doesn't appeal. Will probably watch the start of next series of OG.

Just seen the BBC trailer for streaming of Our Girl and had a long yearn for the loss of Elvis again. That final blown kiss....
