Changed the name of this thread as we were very upset with the ending of series 3 out in Bangladesh! Waiting out for news of series 4. In the meantime, we are reviewing the seven series of Soldier Soldier.

Joy is back again. Sounds as if she went back to live with her parents after Tony died and now has a new role bringing her back to the fold.

Doesn't Joy look smart. It's hard to think of her like this, when you see her in Call the Midwife - looking somewhat more matronly.

That's quite a revealing dress for Joy - her usual clothes have been pretty frumpy!

Don't think much of Marsha's dress, though.

Gosh the women's shoulder pads are almost as big as the men's!

Major Dougray has a snobby girlfriend. Looks like Joy's discovered a like-minded friend. I think Marsha may be matchmaking.

How many boxing matches have we had in the series so far? Three?

I like Jim - he's sick to death of everyone going on about the boxing - what a lovely chap.

Oh, Barbara isn't Major Dougray's wife....

Jeremy didn't make the squad - shame.

Well done Joy - you put the snobby wife right on that - even though I hate the boxing bits.

They have to justify the bl**dy boxing! Aaaagh.

I think we've had at least three or four storylines about boxing before now - Tony in series 1 and series 2, plus a couple of others. Now we have to feel sorry for poor little Jeremy.

Jeremy desperately wants to make the boxing team but it looks as if he's failed.

At least Jeremy is being sportsmanlike about not making the team.

So, silly Joe borrowed money off a loan shark to give to Collette for a wedding - what a silly plonker.

The hotel manager's name escapes me but he's well known too now isn't he. He was in 'The Capture' before Christmas. Everyone was in Soldier, Soldier at some point. It's like every Scottish actor has been in Taggart or so it seems (love Taggart by the way)

Colette is really going overboard with her wedding plans.

Was the manager of the hotel the same guy playing Profumo in "The Trial of Christine Keeler" on at the moment?

So, Joy might get a job with the families office of the regiment. That'll be nice.

Marsha is definitely match making there.

Yes ilove he is in the Christine Keeler drama. I haven't watched more than half the first episode but I did see him in that.

I reckon the heavies are about to demand money with menaces from poor Joe.
