I do like how private it all is- even though I am very nosy. And they are very close to their families.

It's all very lovely in the tennis world, babies, weddings.

Grin

Snap with the hairy babies Raahh Grin

Raahh · 17/10/2019 19:36

I'm very hairy, Fizzy so the fact Ds was so fair and not hirsute, with fine baby curls was baffling.

Then the girls came alongGrin. DD1 has loads of hair, but it's poker straight. And grew upwardsGrin DD2 had mad hair, much curlier than mine, but it's gone straight over the last few years, but that might change. But they are very hairy. Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 17/10/2019 19:38

Someone described DS2 as very hirsute when he was a baby! I am also quite hairy Shock

Raahh · 17/10/2019 19:40

I embrace my hairiness.

I.e

can't be bothered to shave my legs.

PrivateSpidey · 17/10/2019 20:09

Well, I never knew that about heartburn/hairy babies!! Shock You learn something new every day Grin

Hope Rafa's wedding plans are going well. That's so sweet about the two Nanas!

Yikes Goffin's getting pasted Shock

Fizzywinegum · 17/10/2019 20:47

I just switched over Private and the match had already finished Shock

Monfils also lost in straight sets.

Are you on the All Creatures. Great and Small remake thread Private?

PrivateSpidey · 17/10/2019 21:20

Yes Goffin looked v out of sorts. The young lad Humbert played well though.

Fizzy I just popped over to the All Creatures thread - and then couldn't resist commenting!!

Evening! I turned it on just to see Murray shaking hands at the net. I see every seed that played today lost! Stan vs Giles is the pick of the bunch tomorrow.

Re pregnancies, I had no cravings at all when I was pregnant. Also, I had no morning sickness, not even a momentary whiff of nausea, thankfully.

I did carry all before me though. I didn't put on any weight apart from a humungous bump at the front, which entered a room 5 minutes before I did Grin

I didn't even know about the old wives tale but at work, a colleague from the Paris office came over to the London office and took one look at me and said "Even in France, that is a boy".
And she was right Grin
Over 16 years later, that now 6'2" boy is off on a geography field trip tomorrow to Iceland! I think I might have got as far as the South Downs when I was at school Hmm

PrivateSpidey · 17/10/2019 22:09

Ah kazza Smile that's lovely. Hope your ds enjoys Iceland!! That is v exotic. We got as far as Mold in N Wales!! (And even then I was homesick Hmm)

I'm watching a programme about the effect Brexit will have in Ireland. God it's depressing Sad

PrivateSpidey · 17/10/2019 22:11

Pressed post too soon.

The results from Antwerp are a bit of a shock but at least Andy and Stan are still going strong. That would be a good final (I don't think they can meet before then can they?).

JaneJeffer · 17/10/2019 22:14

Speaking of heartburn, I had terrible heartburn with DS1 and I used to get those huge bottles of Gaviscon and chug it straight from the bottle!

Fizzywinegum · 17/10/2019 22:20

kazza my DS went on a geography trip to Iceland - I was very jealous - we were also lucky if we even went into the next town on a school trip. Hope he enjoys it.

Jane the whole Brexit thing is very depressing - it’s just grim on all levels and probably even more so for Ireland.

That’s why we need tennis, weddings, babies and All creatures Great and Small to cheer us up Smile

PrivateSpidey · 17/10/2019 22:29

Fizzy exactly. It makes my brain hurt watching the news so I just watch tennis and Midsomer Murders instead Grin

Stan's posted a pic on Instagram saying he's happy to be in the quarter finals - he seems quite relaxed. Even in that match against Lopez close as it was, he seemed to be pretty chilled out.

(He'd better not lose in the next round now!!)

Just started watching Stan vs Simon.

Stan is still rocking the bubblegum pink /aubergine combo. He needs different colour tennis shoes though. Red doesn't go Grin

It's still a better kit than the Adidas monstrosity that Giles is sporting. It's making my eyes go funny Confused

kazzaD66 · 18/10/2019 17:37

Yay! Well done Stan, although he should have won in straight sets Hmm Bear

He now looks like a pineapple Grin

He now plays Sinner, the 18 year old Italian.

Would like to watch Murray now but dinner won't make itself.

PrivateSpidey · 18/10/2019 17:48

I missed Stan, but well done to him Grin

I agree about the outfit kazza - I like it but the shoes just clash.

Will try and watch Andy now - if I can unearth the iPad from DS's lair Hmm

kazzaD66 · 18/10/2019 19:03

DH said I could leave the table to watch Murray and he would clear up after dinner.

I wondered why I married him Grin

Raahh · 18/10/2019 19:05

I have spent most of the day in bed with a migraine that started last night. Then I went paralysed taking the girls to school. That was fun. I'm feeling slightly more human now.

Well done Stan Bear

kazzaD66 · 18/10/2019 19:29

Oh Raahh sorry to hear that. My mum had migraines most of her life, so I know how bad it can be.

Murray lost his serve when serving for the match Angry

Let's go Andy, let's go!!!

Raahh · 18/10/2019 19:36

Kazza I used to get them very regularly, but now take medication dailt to try to keep them at bay. The dwn side is losing my hair, and kidney stones Hmm. The paralysis is rare- once a year maybe, but it's a bit scary- and has happened twice now when driving, which is not great.

I see that Murray has gone to a tie break.
