Invisible, I'm pretty sure that it's his dancing skills and credentials that has earned him his place on Strictly rather than his looks, but I don't think I'm going to convince you.

Neil and Katya are currently the only dancers on the show who have world titles under their belts. They are the best dancers and choregraphers by miles, and have actually been involved with Strictly for years, firstly as choreographers and then backing dancers before joining the pro rosta officially.

Dancing with the Stars in the US have been 'benching' pro's for years. In fact, its not unusual for a pro to take a season off altogether and go off to do other stuff before returning there and no one bats an eyelid. Gleb even did a series of Strictly and DWTS Russia before going back.

Neil did the inclusive disability dance last year yes?

That must have been complex, and it was brilliant

I've not got any idea about Neil one way or the other so it will be interesting to see how he is. I don't watch ITT so I've never really seen him other than in the background.

They're patrons of Para Dance UK.

I think not having any out and out big names taking all the attention will be great this year. Am looking forward to Kelvin, Dev and Karim. Hoping Kelvin and Oti will be a repeat of Danny Mac and Oti (they should have won!!)

Yes, and there was a lot of negativity about her choreography too when she started on Strictly.

The comments about Neil being a multiple time champion is relevant due to a lot of negative comments about him being just a backing dancer and comedian on ITT, when he so much more than that.

Don't get me started - I still shout "Danny wuz ROBBED" if I ever see Ore on the TV.

I try not to think about Danny and Oti. They were amazing and I'll never understand how they didn't win, Oti really made him work hard but he was more than capable.

Almost none of the winners are the best dancers. Ore and all his stupid crying made me so irritated. Likewise Stacy “cor blimey guv’not I’m so down to earth!”

Caroline flack was a very worthy winner though

Would this be a good time to mention that I also voted for Ore?

I love Nadiya and her choreography. It reminds me of how the original pros used to choreograph for their beginner level partners.

I didnt know that Nadiya was a world champion! She needs someone decent, but honestly I cant see David James going far... In the past we had Joanne Clifton, Karen Hardy and Matthew and Nicole Cutler who had all been world champions, but most of this lot have been taken from Burn the Floor the touring show.

I had high hopes for Nadiya this year but David looked stiff as a board and bloody terrified in that group dance - I predict much (grand)Dad dancing argh!
I was gutted she was eliminated with Lee so early last year. I actually thought their Back to the Future dance was underrated and he could've gone a lot further a la Simon from Blue. There were quite a lot of duffers last year that he could've beaten in the DO! Unlucky.

I hope Michelle Visage throws herself into the routines and doesn't struggle from nerves. I'm not Gio's biggest fan but I could get behind their partnership! Will the been invite RPDR drag queens into the audience if they promise to behave?! (Family show!)

She's hinted at RuPaul coming to support her!

I loved creepy Brian Fortuna and Ali! I thought he was an incredible pro from the minute he first danced!

I just rewatched Danny and Oti’s American Smooth to Misty Blue for the millionth time. I don’t think any other Strictly dance will ever top it for me!
