Ooh not going too good for Sascha tonight.

Diego has played incredibly well.

Poor Zverev having a bit of a nightmare on his serve but Diego is playing well.

Oh dear.

I did hear the previous warning.

Very impressed by Diego.

Sascha has had another bad day at the office. He needs to go back to his dogs.

He’s had another violation now for swearing and lost a point (and also the game) - he’s now arguing that he didn’t know that he’d received the first violation (for hitting a ball at his box). Poor Sascha - he looks a bit lost out there.

Yay go Diego - I’m 5’ 4” so feel quite short compared to my almost 6 feet DSs.

Fizzy 13 year old dd1 has now smashed the 5ft barrier, and delights on looking down on me.

I never stood a chance, both sides of my family had women who were 4ft 11 at the tallest.

It is a bit rubbish when your children start towering over you

To be fair, it doesn't take much to be taller than me.

My DS' new school trousers, age 9-10, are the perfect length for me, I discovered tonight

(Although the waistband would probably need to be, err, a touch larger )

I missed the rest of the match, sounds like a bit of a mess from Zverev's point of view. Feel for him but pleased for Diego.

I won't make it for Rafa v Cilic unless I randomly wake up in the night, so good night for now and catch up tomorrow!

Well, I woke up to see it was 1 set all in the Rafa match, and thought 'great, today is the day Marin remembers how to play'.
Nodded off again, and woke up h Just as they got to match point. Looks like Cilic gave up the fight after the second set.

Sounds like it was a good match - pleased that Cilic did well (but not too well!). Well done Rafa! Can’t believe that Rafa and roger have never played each other at USOpen - wonder if it will happen this time?

Stan v Medvedev should be interesting although I’m not sure that Medvedev has much left in his tank - he keeps talking about his injuries. Maybe he’ll get some more of that special energy from from the crowd again

Just caught up on the replay. Marin played the best I've seen him play since the start of last year, I thought he was really good. But then... Rafa just put his foot down. The last two sets were good but it was just that scenario where you know there's only going to be one winner.

It just sort of dawned on me earlier that Djok is actually OUT of the US Open. I still can't believe it really!

Got a gut feeling for Stan, or I would have, if he didn't (most likely) play Rog if he beats Medvedev.

Fizzy that's what I think too, Medvedev has played so much tennis lately, how long can he keep going?? In any case, Stan said he's ready to shake Arthur Ashe stadium like Godzilla can't wait.

I haven’t seen the Rafa match Spidey but it does sound as if Marin played well - at least for the first two sets.

I like the sound of Bearzilla . I think Stan will win against Medvedev tonight and then might have a good chance against Roger (unless Grigor pulls off a really big surprise - I’d forgotten he was still in the tournament )

Something always seems to happen to stop Roger & Rafa meeting at the us open - hopefully it will be roger who is thwarted. Rafa seems to have got the easier matches but don’t want to jinx him.

Hoping to see some of the Stan/Medvedev match tonight - should be a good one
