Oooh a Strictly thread. Maybe this will help the return of the show seem closer. I have disappointed myself by how much I miss it.

Oti is my favourite, now that the Lovely Nat has left. I find her mesmerising to watch. Hope she gets a partner who can dance this year.

WHY WHY WHY is Bruno still there? He is awful. I'd even put up with Anton on the judging panel if it meant no Bruno, but really they need to replace him with Brendan for the fights with Shirl.

Have there been any release of details about contestants yet?

It's usually late July or early August isn't it when they announce?

Usually August - the earliest announcement was the 7th according to someone on Digital Spy.

Just seen on Twitter the new judge will be Motsi Mabuse, Oti's sister.

So the new judge is Oti's sister, Motsi Mabuse!

How is she going to remain neutral about Oti's performances?

Strange choice. If she marks Oti high, people will say it's because she's her sister. If she marks too low to avoid that accusation, it's not fair on Oti and her partner. Unless Oti is no longer in it?

I did wonder! Saw her on gogglebox and it crossed my mind.
She is a judge on the German Strictly - Let's Dance and has marked her sister on that before so there won't be a conflict of interest, she marked her low when she was crap (she was quite crap on the German Strictly as she had two duffers)

She's been a judge for 9 years (was a pro for 3 before that) so she's qualified, I'm just not that keen on her personally, having watched all the German ones (not keen on any of them really - Llambi is StrictLen, Motsi is EncouragingShirl and Jorge is Brunox10)

Oh she can dance. She's excellent. I am awaiting the tabloids to talk about dancing curses (she was married to a dancer Timo Kulczak for 11 years then started dancing with Evgenij Voznyuk. She's now married to him, had a baby last year - 1 year old next month. Tabloids here have been making out they're about to split just because she said in an interview they'd been squabbling a bit after the baby was born).
So yes, judging job with a 1 year old..maybe DH is coming with her/third sister will support?

He looks good for 51 but has made a career from bad accented German and flamboyant camp. He used to do the catwalk training for Germany's Next Top Model. Calls women chicas and had a few singles, one of which was called Don't Touch My Shoes. He judged the recent finale wearing a monocle.
He doesn't have a falling over schtick but iirc did once go arse over tit on the catwalk. Wearing the highest heels known to man.
I love him really.

So yes, him as a person, bless, he's done well for himself As a judge, not so keen.

Phemelo is the 3rd sister (all 3 currently on celeb gogglebox) - Was also a junior latin champion but like Oti (?) trained as an engineer.

In other news, Kevin has been telling Bum The Floor audiences that tabloid paps are offering his friends and family thousands to bad mouth him.

The comments on the BBC website are not positive, most wanted Karen Hardy or Anton. It does seem to be the idea of judging your own sibling that is the issue.

Carrie ann Inaba went out with Artem for 2 and a half years. He wasn't a DWTS pro until later though.

Talking of Strictly curses, Artem is now dating Nikki Bella- his partner from 2017 (she was engaged to John Cena but broke it off 6 months after appearing on DWTS). I'm just stirring the pot now even though I could not actually do the Potstirrer move in a miilion years

I love strictly. I miss Ian waite he was a darling I equally miss james and brendan as it's too boring when no one disagrees with the judges. I thought natalie was a beautiful dancer to watch. I have no doubt they will be after one of the winning cricket squad if they can. With the Olympics next year it's going to be hard to get an top class current sportsperson. I love claudia winkleman. I love that she can laugh at herself and tess has grown on me more every season. I almost enjoy the pre show stuff as much as the actual show and love rylan I think he is a great addition.
