I am looking forward to the series as usual. Not bothered that Chris Evans has allegedly dropped out.

I never agree with who wins - last year I was disappointed for Joe (loved his training videos/liked the fact that they kept their showmance under wraps) and Ashley (loved her showdance).
I adored Debbie McGee and was sad for Danny Mac.
But I never bet on them so at least I don't lose money, I'm yet to predict a winner tbh.

Biggest disappointment for me was not seeing Will Young complete the series. He dances well in his latest video on a pier. At least he has got his mojo back...I posted a gaymazing video of his first song off his latest album and it is officially my go-to cheer up video. I still watch his tango on Strictly but cannot find the bollywood salsa anywhere.

I remember Chris Evans PROMISING to be on it if the listeners raised a certain LARGE amount of money for Children in Need it was raised, he's a wimp or his wife has threatened him!.

I'm surprised that Will Young even went on it , from what I gather, he's a bit of a sensitive type (easily upset) the criticism of the judges must be difficult if you have that type of personality.

I'm not so sure about them copying other shows (with the judges' training them and all that) why haven't they got the guts to stick with the successful formula of their own?

It's a gimmick to keep it fresh I guess, like bringing in contempowaft, jazz hands and what supposedly passed for hip hop last year.
I am amazed they have never done the switch-up week here where they swap partners for a week - the irish Strictly adopted that iirc.

After leaving Strictly, Young – who was paired with professional dancer Karen Clifton – revealed that it was an existing struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder that had led to him quitting the show and that he had even considered breaking his own legs to get out of dancing.

I like contemp. in the right context, not generally in Strictly though. Apart from sometimes when it's to the singers. I blame the cheographer if it's not good.

Yeah I hate all that barefoot stuff. I also hate all the contrived VTs of how the slebs prepared for the dance by doing something bizarre sort of associated with it. I just want to see the dance, the judges comments and the scores. That's it.

Rylan could definitely present SCD, I would love that!
