Maura fancying Curtis is like a bolt from the blue. Maybe they had some interaction off camera, but we certainly saw none of it!

Are you sure that was Curtis? He looked slightly different in that clip. I've only seen it the once so I'm not sure it's the 'before a month of sunbathing' different or it's a relative of Curtis (brother/cousin).

On This Morning Amy's mum was styled as very respectable lady who lunch type.
I did think that considering how old Smy is, she looked rather young.

Amy is very naive to think that after 4 weeks she can plan her future with Curtis, and now she's got nothing left. This is a TV reality show, deliberately arranged to cause maximum drama. They all need to stop being so invested.

I saw the interview with Amy's parents on This Morning it was very cringe worthy you can tell her Dad is loving the fame. I would say her mum looks in her 50s so not a particularly young mum

Also, I know they don't have any chemistry, but I kinda wish Maura and Anton would couple up. They are both GREAT and would be the only rivals to a Tommy & MM win I think.

I think that Guardian link is spot on plaidpyjamas. I have quietly observed that on these 'ere MN LI thread we give the girls a MUCH harder time than the boys. I would love to see some proper analysis, but it appears that there are very many posts dissecting every characteristic and behaviour from the girls; and they get called misogynistic slurs like bitch, accused of bullying (dare I mention dangerous-gate). For the boys, they get less analysed. A few 'dickhead' dismissals, some support....AND back to criticising the girls

Being a total saddo and rewatched the episode with Amy and Curtis's date after he rated her a 7/10 in the missing comp and he says to her she is beautiful and gorgeous and a supermodel in his eyes. Wonder if he did feel something at one point.

@plaidpyjamas think that guardian article is taking things way too far. Gaslighting? Michael during recoupling maybe at a push, but Curtis just dug himself a hole. I'd probably call Michael's behaviour projecting, or attacking as a form of defence, but there's no sophistication to these two. They're just idiots.

Gaslighting is calculated, abusive behaviour. Adam last year with Rosie - completely different. Totally calculated and sinister.
