Just seen that Amy was apparently taken out of the villa for psychological support but she has returned.

Thump · 05/07/2019 09:33

I didn’t realise Curtis was on Dancing With the Stars Ireland!

Was he? Who was he paired up with? If it was someone popular who got a lot of votes, it might account for why he thinks he is popular!

Thump · 05/07/2019 09:34

Sounds like she might have just went out to attend a counselling session or summat!

unique1986 · 05/07/2019 09:34

26/27
Flight Attendant.

Thump · 05/07/2019 09:35

Can Irish people vote in the public votes?

Thump · 05/07/2019 09:35

Wow! Well we can't blame it on youth then!

Thump · 05/07/2019 09:37

Read a headline yesterday that Maura is 100/1 with the bookies to become the next Mayor of Longford (her home county) Grin

Can ya imagine Maura meeting dignitaries!! lol

carmenbea · 05/07/2019 09:38

I would also want closure and he would need to tell me why he picked me and pretended to fancy me when he didn't. He realised they weren't in top 3 couples and decided to get rid. How she can't see that is beyond me as well.

FreshAprilStart · 05/07/2019 09:38

Tragedy is that if Curtis and just said 'I'm sorry, let's try again' Amy would've jumped at the chance.

Better he's been honest as she's way over invested

crustycrab · 05/07/2019 09:38

I must be the only one who doesn't feel sorry for amber. Michael is right, she sneers whenever anyone tries to raise an issue with her. Made him "graft" for her with no hint as to whether she actually liked him and then he had to watch her, Anna and yewande trying to bully the new girls. They made Maura feel like shit. You could see he was biting his tongue.

Anna is nasty. She's such a bully. And a hypocrite with it.

Right....off to ask OH if he thinks I'm talented.

FreshAprilStart · 05/07/2019 09:40

@crustycrab

You are so fabulously talented.

Mines a cappuccino please.

SharedBluePlanet · 05/07/2019 09:45

I thought Moira was talking about Ovie - maybe he was breakdancing, looks like a guy who has moves.

He and Tommy are surely the only 'Manly' ones in there right now.

I can't believe she would go for Curtis - even if she did like him he would surely be out of bounds. She keeps banging on about girl code after all

MargoLovebutter · 05/07/2019 09:49

Hmmmm, I don't feel as much sympathy for Amy as some on here. Unless, she is an alien recently arrived from another planet, she knew what Love Island was - a competition. She entered the competition knowing exactly how brutal it was and how potentially phoney all the relationships are, because people are in it to win it and not necessarily find "true love"!

So, who in their right flipping mind would then fall head over heels in love with someone who whilst pleasant and nice, was more about making coffee for everyone than having a hug in the morning?!

She also didn't come across as kind and generous to others at the beginning, which makes she really was in it to win it, as much as anyone else and actually a lot of this drama is because she knows that she has probably lost and not really due to heartbreak.

No idea what Anna is playing at. Dislike her more with ever show I watch.

Have massively gone of Michael, who has just come across sooooooooo badly in the last two shows.

Didn't like Tommy's chat with Lucie or the way he played it back to MM either.

crustycrab · 05/07/2019 09:57

@FreshAprilStart why thank you Smile chocolate sprinkles?

SharedBluePlanet · 05/07/2019 10:05

I don't think Curtis is sinister- he got into a situation that spiralled out of his control. Amy seemed relatively normal at first and they did seem well matched. Then the cracks began to show in her personality - but by then it was sort of too late for him to back out easily.

The tweets and not being one of the couples saved by the public probably just reinforced doubts he was already having. He probably felt massive relief when she went to Casa Amor.

He has then panicked and looked for an escape route which firmly puts the blame on him - so he doesn't have to admit that he has completely gone off her.

Her grilling of him would have just reinforced his feelings and the blank look to me was him thinking 'how the hell have I got into this'

Sagradafamiliar · 05/07/2019 10:08

The way Curtis said he gets up to make coffee for everyone was so fucking weird. He was totally deadpan and looked at her like 'durrrr it's the done thing, you're unreasonable for thinking otherwise'
And I hated his long pauses for dramatic effect when he needed to hurry up and just put Amy out of her misery. He made her prompt him, the arse. I've said it before and I'll say it again: he's SUCH an actor!

SharedBluePlanet · 05/07/2019 10:11

He could hardly say I get up to make coffee to get away from you though could he??

Sagradafamiliar · 05/07/2019 10:14

Well he could've done. That's what she was getting at, she said he'd never fancied her all along and used that as 'evidence'. He should've just been like, 'I know, I'm so sorry imsuchatwat'

LittleAndOften · 05/07/2019 10:21

@MargoLovebutter agreed about Tommy. It's like he's revelling in the attention. Instead of shutting Lucie down he seems to be encouraging her. That can't end well.

SharedBluePlanet · 05/07/2019 10:21

I think Curtis knows the real truth would destroy Amy - that like all the others that have gone before, whilst she seems alright at the start her behaviour puts people off from wanting a relationship with her.

cheesytoasters · 05/07/2019 10:24

That whole talk with Amy was so uncomfortable to watch, I really felt for her.

Curtis on the other hand is a complete tit.

Why was he looking at her like she'd dropped a dirty fart?

LittleAndOften · 05/07/2019 10:26

Amy had already picked out the wedding dress whilst Curtis was still deciding whether he liked her. The problem is he got carried away, maybe with their popularity in the house as a couple, maybe by playing the top-couple role, so his actions came far too late to avert disaster.

I think Amy got carried away with her future fantasy and the idea of a long term relationship, whilst Curtis was just carried away with the whole LI experience. They both were more smitten with an idea than each other.

Yamayo · 05/07/2019 10:29

Catching up now...

I thought Ovie was very reasonable with Anna (considering she summoned him by literally clicking her fingers).
He told her he thought the dynamic had totally changed and that she was clearly trying to please both him and Jordan.
Which is bang on.

He wasn't angry, he was calm about it even though he admitted it was a bitter pill to swallow.
I think both him and Jordan have been very mature about the situation.
Maybe Anna wanted more drama?

Halfway through the Amy/Curtis debacle now.
The whole time Amy was talking Curtis was super defensive and he looked like he wanted to smack her.
Seriously. I was watching his eyes and was thinking contempt/hate.
I think he thought they were the golden couple. When she served her purpose and he realised she was bringing him down he tried to cut her loose as sympathetically for him as possible.
Throughout the talk he probably realised his image was going to suffer and he now blames her and her 'drama'.

I still think Amy is pathological intense and needy (with a massive dose f unpleasant smugness when she thought things were perfect) but in all fairness she has been totally blindsided.

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 05/07/2019 10:36

Curtis is a fake always has been.He was dead behind the eyes and you could tell he was furious internally when Amy was calling him out.Hes the type who hates to look bad in public.Prick.

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/07/2019 10:39

I found the coffee making thing hilarious, I keep thinking about it and randomly laughing, I mean who says that?
I still love Curtis though, I can't help it.
