Happy Wimbledon Eve* everyone!

Ahh, the lovely Goran.

I try to make sure everyone is aware of my viewing over Wimbledon- and they are unlikely to take over the tv. But there will be various other demands on my time- which is annoying.

Oh for the days when I was single and child-free over Wimbledon fortnight!

I still keep thinking back to the 5 live commentary, from a couple of years back. When they kept insisting Goran should do Strictly. I would have loved for that to happen. .

Goran has gone down in my estimation...................

Luckily DH (after nearly 35 years of marriage) has come to love tennis nearly as much as me* & is happy to watch until gozzy eyed every day for 2 weeks!

DC know to check matches before ringing as well!

*Took about 12 years for him to get converted!

Me too Raahh would love to see Goran on strictly - I think they asked him about it on the tennis podcast but he didn’t seem very keen

Magi the bonus is , if it does get to be a Fed/Djok final, I can cheer for Goran. . And ignore the Djok factor.

Unfortunately, afterschool things and appointments and all manner of rubbish stuff are going to get in the way.

Talking of 'Super coaches'- is Lendl still involved with Sascha?- he was cagey about it around RG, and of course poor Sascha was left with all his chores to do

DH is not into tennis and watches lots of really boring things like cycling. The good news is he's going to be away for about a week during Wimbledon 🎾

Majestic I also have a cycling loving DH and DS and Wimbledon usually clashes with the Tour de France. My DH is also away for most of the second week of Wimbledon - I will probably go feral - my DS’s can sort themselves out!

It is annoying when real life gets in the way of tennis Raahh - I don’t think I’ll get to see much tomorrow but should be ok for Tuesday when I think Rafa will be playing.

I’m not sure if Lendl is still involved with Zverev Raahh - apparently he didn’t go to Paris because he’s allergic to clay . I think he just didn’t want to get involved with Sasha’s chores

It will be interesting to see if he’s at Wimbledon.

I've just bought a load of ready meals/quick teas so my beloved family can sort themselves out for the foreseeable. DH is usually pretty good anyway, plus he knows the score for the next fortnight!

The two flies in the ointment at this stage are: carpet fitter coming tomorrow which means the TV has to be moved (I definitely didn't think that one through) and pesky sports day on Wednesday why do schools do this?!

Last year, a lot of Wimbledon clashed with football.i even had to watch the Rafa/Delpo match on dd1s tv.

I'm hoping that for that reason at least I'm safe. I'm not sure when the women's world cup is due to end ( not that dh watches much of that, despite managing an under13s girls team!).

I'm just cooking at the moment (while also MN-ing) - obviously this will be their last home cooked dinner for some time!

I love Lendl missing Paris purely for chore avoidance who could blame him! Yes it'll be interesting to see if he's at Wimbledon.

I forgot the world cup was on at the same time as Wimbledon last year Raahh - England played Croatia the night of the Rafa-Delpo match didn't they?! Also the night my in-laws made me go out for dinner (grudge still held).

Yy, private it was really hot in dd1s room, where i was watching, and I had the windows open, I heard the cheering when England scored. ( think most of my neighbours were having parties in their gardens).

After that it all went a bit quiet.

Looking out the window the wind has really got up here, which might scupper my plans. If it's rough it's no fun getting in & out on shelving pebbles.

That would be good magi! Djok seems to have been quiet in the build up to Wimbledon - he doesn’t seem to have been mentioned much.

Did anyone see the Serena interview on bbc breakfast? She’s had a baby you know! There was no flossing though (phew)!

I've just read that Djok went home, after losing at RG - probably to avoid the fallout from his cheating (imo) behaviour around the Thiem match. He played at the Boodles event last week.

What a difference a year makes though- last year he went to Wimbledon ranked 21 in the world, no slam wins for 2 years and not in great shape. Now look at him.

I prefer last year's Djok. ( not the winning one).

Disappointed at the lack of flossing. However, since that is most definitely what has nearly ruined Cilic' s career, maybe not a bad thing.

It's freezing here. You'd never think it was warm at the weekend at all. Dd2 has got sports week- not just a day, a whole week- and had to go in p.e kit. There were lots of children turning blue in the playground this morning.

And I wish someone had told me about Serena's baby. Didn't she keep that quiet?

Her daughter's doll has a Twitter account. I remember seeing something about it around the US Open.

That's truly bizarre.

Can't wait! I hope the Beeb manage to show at least one match all the way through this year
