In other news i ❤️ Anton. Thats all.

Singlenotsingle · 24/06/2019 23:42

The right person to go was Yewande. She was miserable throughout. She didn't need to drape herself over anyone, just smile and chat and get involved. Instead she just seemed to sulk all the time, and she didn't make any effort at all with Danny. Let's hope he has more luck with Arabella.

bringbacksideburns · 24/06/2019 23:43

Did anyone notice Yewande tearing a strip off Michael trying to say goodbye to her at the end? He put his hand on her back and she whipped round and said something like don't you dare - I think because he'd gone to hug Danny?

It'll be interesting to see what happens when they show them tweets from the outside. Wonder if Arabella's boyfriend will pop up.

rockingchaircandle · 24/06/2019 23:43

I think Yewande was going to get it wrong for some people no matter what she did! Someone else whispering wouldn't have been noticed let alone been vile. Some really over the top reactions/ over the top reactions! She could be awkward but she was genuine & at the end, she was very calm, very honest and behaved with dignity.

LittleAndOften · 24/06/2019 23:44

@AliceRR yeah I bought Mollie-May's orange safety pin swimming cossie. The gap in the middle fits around my 20 week bump so nicely, and sexily frames my stretch marks. I'm think of getting a fishnet jumpsuit for my hospital bag... Just enough string to hold a maternity pad 😂😂

I don't think I'm their target market... Grin

Munhu · 24/06/2019 23:45

You'd think, but Twitter has gone into meltdown with people saying they want to come after Danny

There's also a lot of support on there for Amber and Anna and a general dislike of Arabella. It's been interesting reading the different responses on each platform!

TheRLodger · 24/06/2019 23:47

With regards to the buying the clothes. they aren't really my style and I think I need more than a napkin to cover my modesty. However, I was looking the other day and some of the things don't look that bad and if I needed to update my summer wardrobe I would certainly have a good look. Especially for sunglasses and shoes but also tops and sarong cover up things too. Also it's relatively cheap which is just what you want when you know aren't going to wear things lots of times especially in the fashions that they are.

Birdrib · 24/06/2019 23:50

Did anyone notice Yewande tearing a strip off Michael trying to say goodbye to her at the end?

She was kicking off about Danny walking away when everyone came to hug her, not at Michael. Michael just went to touch her as she turned around.

I love Anton and Maura. I wish they fancied each other as they’d make a brilliant couple.

MoominMantra · 24/06/2019 23:51

The reason the clothes are cheap is because they are shit quality. And therefore only look good on the tiny and toned people on Love Island.

Yes, sadly I do think a lot of this year's contestants are nasty. The men and women generally seem to have a bullying pack mentality. This hasn't been the case any other year. Not all of them but most of them.

FunInTheSun2019 · 24/06/2019 23:51

The difference between twitter and MN..twitter hate Danny and MN think he made the decision 😂

I think he did..I think initially he only got with Yewande because he had seen how much twitter loved her, and had a game plan in his head.

If he was playing the game he would of gone off what he last knew the majority of twitter thought..he had balls picking Arabella..Good for him I say!

itswinetime · 24/06/2019 23:52

People did say it was rude. It wasn't bullying though as it was being rude to everyone.

We don't know it was just being a bit rude that because we don't know what they said. It could of been nasty fit all we know.

I don't think Yewande was having a go at Michael I think she was taking about Danny. And she was pissed off that he chose someone else over her! Without ever ring really honest with her. He cost 25k potentially plus all the revenue from followers the longer you are in therefore.! I don't think they were Romeo and Juliette or anything but she didn't do anything that bad either in my opinion.

RainbowPanda · 25/06/2019 00:11

Someone else whispering wouldn't have been noticed let alone been vile

But it was noticed when someone else did it, Lucie. Most the Villa, especially Amber, had a lot to say about how rude it was. So just seems hypocritical that it's ok for Yewande to whisper to Amber. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a moment earlier tonight where I thought Anton was going to pick either Y or A just so Danny didn't have to choose yet. I would have been soooo pissed off if he had done that and someone else went home just because someone (Danny) couldn't make his mind up. Very relieved Anton picked Lucie. Love them both.

I think the Danny - Yewande - Arabella triangle has been discussed to death. None of them are particularly likeable or about to have the romance of the year. However Danny is getting a lot of stick for not being honest and genuine, yet Yewande was hardly honest and genuine herself. Forcing the affection she hadn't previously been comfortable with just to mark her territory and try to keep her man. Making a point of needing to go be affectionate and sitting on him. How was any of that genuine? I would have had more respect for her if she had stood her ground and continued with her cautiousness. But she tried to play the game just as much as he is being blamed for.

Anyway it's all by the by. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't genuine, the outcome would have been the same regardless. They just weren't compatible.

unique1986 · 25/06/2019 00:28

Arabella is quite butch?
Some of the stuff she comes out with.
Perhaps boring school background.

BlondeBumshelll · 25/06/2019 00:41

So glad Danny chose Arabella even though it seemed even the boys were trying to sway him towards Yewande. It was the right choice for him, Yewande gave him nothing until she realised someone else liked him then panicked. She wasn't a great islander and won't be missed.

It really pisses me off that Amber sat fuming that Danny dared choose Arabella when in the first recoupling she coldly sent Callum home without even so much as a fake sorry. People have to do what they feel is right for them not keep someone just because their friends have taken to thinking they have some sort of right to be there. Amber and even Michaels attitude towards Danny and the decision he was trying to make really didn't sit well tonight.

I hope they don't give Danny a hard time for choosing who he wanted.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 25/06/2019 00:50

Missed it. Glad D chose A though I’m surprised by it.

Y wasn’t interested in him, she showed a bit of interest there to stay in but she never acted like she really liked him

Beautiful , intelligent women but incredibly immature

historysock · 25/06/2019 04:41

Anton is lovely

MoominMantra · 25/06/2019 06:12

Amber and Michael are wayyyyyy out in front of the other couples. I don't know why but I can't see them not winning at this point.

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 06:41

Yewande didn't fully let go with Danny because he wasn't really into her. She was a stepping stone and her refusing to dive in played into his hands

Then why did she throw herself in, when he was interested in someone else. If she didnt trust him and knew this would happen why throw herself at him when it did?

Because she wanted to stay in. Either he did like her and she left it too late to show anything back, then realised her mistake and did like him so tried to show it.

Or she knew she coildnt trust him, he proved her right and then she jumped in anyway. Because she wanted to stay in.

I dont believe she liked Danny at all. She was prepared to fake affection and closeness. Which is fair enough. But the minute her position in the show, was threatened she pretended to like him.

If Danny was faking it with her all along to stay in, how is what she did any better? It would mean she was right not to trust him and he was right not to trust her.

Unfortunately for her, the boys got to pick which means she went home.

I am not a Yewande fan, but I do think she is better out of the show. For her own sake.

I am sure #byefelica has been used in several texts into the house. Not just this one.

I also agree we should wait until tonight's show, before judging Amber. First look, looked like the whole house was hanging up on Danny the other day. But in reality, when the show was on, it wasnt anywhere near that bad.

NasiGoreng · 25/06/2019 06:47

I am so glad Yewande has gone. Her leaving was basically a self fulfilled prophesy. If you go back a week Danny was chasing round after her and got to the point where he was saying that he wasn't getting anything back, both boys and girls agreed and even Yewande was saying "there is something missing". Danny was already on the way out when Arabella walked in.

I don't think Danny has done anything wrong. He did all the work and she only made an effort for 1 night when she thought she was going to be dumped. Her behaviour was also really rude to him and A. I think he's well rid TBH.

I think Amber and Anna will go after the pair of them now to oust them from the villa. I saw snippets of it last night and had flash backs to my teenage years and fights outside the 'offy over blokes. You'll see the offended, street savvy northerner come out of Amber tonight and it won't be pretty.

Bluntness100 · 25/06/2019 06:47

The speeches aren't scripted. There are rules about scripting in tv, I'm not exactly sure what, but it basically turns the islanders into actors and changes what rhe program is. It's directed occasionally, as in go have a chat with x or y about z, or reshoot because we didn't film that right, but it's never scripted and previous contestants have confirmed that. The words and actions are always their own.

And Michael was the one pushing Danny to Yewande, and I suspect that was due to ambers influence.

Ultimately. Irrelevant of who you like, Danny has the right to pick the person he is most interested in. In real life relarionships end all the time, and people move on to someone else they prefer. And this wasn't even a relarionship. Danny has done nothing wrong. And arguably Yewande has, because there is no doubt she treated him poorly until Arabella came in.

As said before, I think him picking Arabella was not about arabella. It was about giving him an out from being with Yewande and the pressure of being subjected to her poor behaviour.

And all that "how dare he" not pick me shit. How entitled can someone get.

NasiGoreng · 25/06/2019 06:50

If you rewatch last night the girls encourage Maura to go downstairs to speak to Tom. When she gets there he is just in the middle of his speak about whether she is all mouth or not.

I think that was totally staged.

Proteinshakesandtears · 25/06/2019 07:04

I dont think it was faked. But I do think it was a set up.

The boys told to get Tom engaged in that sort of converstation. The producers telling the girls to get Maura to go downstairs and tell Tom she would meet him in there. .

For a start if my friend was getting ready, from the hideaway and wanted to Tell Tom something....I would have told her to get ready and I would go tell him. Not tell her to go. Or gone onto the terrace and shouted down to him.

I think it was a set up. But I still think Tom would have said what he said. I just think the producers wanted the drama of Maura hearing him.

Littlehouse156 · 25/06/2019 07:15

God I hope Amber doesn’t win. Can’t stand her or Anna.

They need to get some people in for Anton and Lucie. Those two are my favourites

Hebdenbridge · 25/06/2019 07:16

God FORBID! She's not (whispers) working class, is she??
