Checking in, love the thread title.

I’m so ready for Casa Anor but on the other hand I don’t know if I’m really invested enough in any of the relationships to give much of a shit what goes down in there. Last year I remember rooting for Jack and Danni, being really excited for Laura to meet someone new, hating Josh for the way he ditched Georgia (although subsequently realising what a knob Georgia was), and being delighted when Megan went for the creepy older guy and wiped the smug look of Wes’s face, if only temporarily. I don’t know if I care enough about any of the current relationships this series to be too bothered what happens (although probably I’ll end up having loads of opinions when it comes to it) but I am ready for a shake up, some new people and to ditch some of the dead wood in there, and mostly for someone wonderful for Anton pretty pretty please. And I’d just love a bunch of proper fit, slightly more mature men to come in and see Maura in her element holding court over them.

I think Danny probably made the right decision and not bothered Yewande has gone but they dragged that storyline out so much without a hint of the entertainment factor the Tommy/MM/Maura version had, and I don’t think any of the three (D/A/Y) covered themselves in glory to be fair, so I kind of want Danny and Arabella to go too as I’m just bored of them.

AliceRR · 24/06/2019 23:23

I think Danny made the right choice as Yewande wasn’t being very nice and I prefer Arabella BUT I actually think I can see Danny and Yewande working in the real world more so than Danny and Arabella. I actually don't think I see much chemistry there but it wouldn’t have made sense for Arabella to target Danny just to stay in as she could have just gone for Anton

Munhu · 24/06/2019 23:24

Everything she said from then on was all about wanting to spend more time with her - I've never met a bully like that.

Yeah I'm not sure that Amy bitching about her to the two new islanders/other girls was the best way to convince Lucie that she simply enjoyed her company and missed spending time with her...

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 24/06/2019 23:25

Still loving Maura - she's fab!

I think Danny, Arabella and Tom are all not to be trusted. None of them seem genuine to me.

I like Amber and Michael but thought Amy seemed horrible laughing when Maura was upset with Tom.

fancynancyclancy · 24/06/2019 23:26

Molly Mae was trying not to laugh when Maura was laying into Tom too.

fancynancyclancy · 24/06/2019 23:27

I probably would have laughed in that situation too, she’s funny!

StreetwiseHercules · 24/06/2019 23:28

Bye bye Yewande!!!’ I’m absolutely delighted!!!! 😆

Leelaseye · 24/06/2019 23:28

Not really a fan of Yewande's but don't like the way she is being vilified for being 'cold' and giving nothing back - it obviously just wasn't comfortable or natural her to drape herself all over someone she'd barely known for 2 weeks - although I suppose that is a fairly basic expectation for LI.

Also think it's pretty unpleasant to brand someone 'vile' and a 'loon' - it's not like she's committed the crime of the century Hmm

InsertFunnyUsername · 24/06/2019 23:28

I wouldn't say Amy was a bully, but i have met women like her who think if you don't want to be their friend there is something wrong with you. So pushy more than anything.

Agree with PP who says Lucie whispered to Tommy before so she must be vile/rude aswell?

I don't think Yewande could have won either way really. Im not a fan but i cant see anything in her behaviour that was terrible, childish maybe.

StreetwiseHercules · 24/06/2019 23:29

Amber’s fake tears were amusing too. And Anna’s!

Well done Danny!!!!

fancynancyclancy · 24/06/2019 23:30

Just wondering whether the clothes sell well.Who do you think buys them?Have any of you bought them?

The clothes are vile, wasn’t Amy in some 2 piece multi coloured snakeskin. Maura had cheap white trousers on. It’s all the shite 90s fashion. Plus the boys in their skin tight jeans , yuck!

StreetwiseHercules · 24/06/2019 23:31

We saw Yewande’s real character, writ large, at the end. Pleasing.

Dickybow321 · 24/06/2019 23:32

Anton goes up in my estimation every evening and I think it was lovely how he chose Lucie.

Who else could he have picked? Arabella is not into him and Yewande wanted Danny to pick her. He hardly picked Lucie to be a gentleman!

Dickybow321 · 24/06/2019 23:33

We saw Yewande’s real character, writ large, at the end. Pleasing.

What do you mean 'pleasing'?

Jimjamjooney · 24/06/2019 23:33

I think the clothes sell well. An instagram page (the outfit finder) that started off posting where to get LI outfits from has become huge in the past couple of years. I think it's mostly my demographic of early to late 20's buying. Some otems are cheap fast fashion bits, others are more expensive

SlipperOrchid · 24/06/2019 23:33

Tim cant walk past a mirror without admiring himself. I hope someone nice comes in for Maura. I’m glad Yewande has gone as I didn’t think she was nice. I suspect Arabella is a mole and there to stir things up. Hopefully they will put in some new guys and Arabella and Maura will find lurvvvve. Maybe that’s why Amber and Anna are arguing - they will say Arabella wasn’t interested in Danny and should have told him so Yrwande could have stayed, conveniently forgetting of course, that Yewande wasn’t interested in him either.

SlipperOrchid · 24/06/2019 23:34

Tim? I meant Tom.

Dickybow321 · 24/06/2019 23:35

Agree with PP who says Lucie whispered to Tommy before so she must be vile/rude aswell

People did say it was rude. It wasn't bullying though as it was being rude to everyone. With Y and A a lot was going on to do with Arabella so Arabella could think they were talking about her. Context is key here.

ReturnofSaturn · 24/06/2019 23:36

Love Antons eyes 👀 they're beaut!

I think Anton should have picked Yewande on his turn! Would have stirred shit up massively for Danny, having to stay in the villa with both of them again Grin

StreetwiseHercules · 24/06/2019 23:36

“What do you mean 'pleasing'?”

I meant I was pleased by how she showed her true character beyond doubt as opposed to the faux grace of yesterday when telling Danny she would accept his decision.

Very cold and entitled character IMO. Big tantrum when she didn’t get her own way in the end.

Nobody can defend her now or say Danny made the wrong choice. Who could honestly be expected to stay in a couple with someone like that?

Dickybow321 · 24/06/2019 23:37

So people in their twenties then 😆

Xichuensis · 24/06/2019 23:38

I personally think Lucie was really oversensitive to what Amy said that started it all off - the "you're always with your bloody boyfriend" - she said it jokingly, because she missed her and didn't want to come across too needy! Everything she said from then on was all about wanting to spend more time with her - I've never met a bully like that

This is how I saw it too. Amy made a light hearted comment because she didn't want to come across as too serious and Joe and Lucie blew it up into something it wasn't. Amy was hurt that her attempt to spend more time with her friend was misunderstood and she was made out to be the bad guy for asking Lucie to hang out.

The next 3 shows or something all we see of Amy is her talking about Lucie but we have hardly seen anything since because she doesn't seem to do a lot. It was probably the same for those 3 days, she did nothing interesting all day except for a couple of conversations about another islander. It was far from a bullying campaign, others agreed she didn't hang out with them anymore and Lucie replied to that by saying she didn't like girls. Hardly the way to win friends and influence people. Then there was the food fight and Lucie cackling with boys about how she went for Amy because of their disagreement, she is hardly the delicate flower people made her out to be.

AliceRR · 24/06/2019 23:40

Yeah I thought it would be young people like late teens and 20s. The clothes look a bit cheap but some of them look ok for holiday clothes IYSWIM and they are cheap...

InsertFunnyUsername · 24/06/2019 23:40

So she got a bit pissy with the boy who was really into her 2 days ago but now is the reason she's going home, leaving the sunshine and villa. Jeez people really dislike her don't they. "True colours" Hmm

Yes she came across stand offish and rude at times, but some comments are a tad dramatic and writing her off as a villain.

Dickybow321 · 24/06/2019 23:41

Nobody can defend her now or say Danny made the wrong choice. Who could honestly be expected to stay in a couple with someone like that?

You'd think, but Twitter has gone into meltdown with people saying they want to come after Danny Hmm
