It is nothing special. We’re not sneering. I starting by saying I don’t understand why they kept going on about her being a pharmacist as though she’s won the Nobel prize. Just an observation. Then you jumped down my throat saying it’s a 4 year masters degree therefore it is special. Still no, it’s not really.

Pharmacy is a 4 year degree that results in a masters, basically 3 year bachelor degree and then a year of masters. It's not 4 years of masters level work. You don't need an undergrad degree to do it. There are masters that are longer than a year but pharmacy isn't one, it's not a 4 year masters degree. It's a combined degree

Like if you do an MEng, it's a 4 year degree but the first 3 years are bachelors level and then one year of masters level.

It's a good job, and a hard degree but I agree people sometimes talk about people with good jobs on love island like they are nuclear physicists.

My point is I think research when I hear 'scientist'. When I hear pharmacist, I think, counts pills into a box.

Haha! I've got a degree and I worked hard for it. I don't have a masters and if I did I'd be proud of it.
Not especially nice to say it's not special. Lots of people are far less educated and less capable of getting qualifications of that nature.
Either way, she's not thick is the point that's being made-and compared to some of the others on there is probably at the higher end of the intelligence scale.

Am I the only one who hasn’t actually noticed her job being referred to that much? Bar the odd occasion where she meets a new guy and they go “what do you do” and she says “I’m a pharmacist”
