Hello Nickel - lovely to hear from you. I hope you and your family are well.
I don't think I need to add my criticisms of OG series 3, it's all been said on here, but after everything we've shared over nearly five years now
, I feel that I must be faithful to it, even if it isn't always what I would like to have seen. I suppose it's all very well us dreaming up the story we want, but it's TV and you can't always have the actors, locations or budget etc you want. If this series ends it all, do you think TG could be persuaded to write the CJ/Molly ending - in book format? The writer of Home Fires (much mentioned by me, but axed by ITV after two series and on a cliffhanger) did that and produced a series of books to cover the rest of the war. I'd certainly buy it, if he wanted to write it.
Well, as you see, we are still soldiering on. Having found a new source of conversation and shared watchalongs to fill the OG void, we are managing to keep ourselves going. I reckon once we've managed all seven series of Soldier, Soldier, we can find something else and probably continue for years to comewhether there's OG or not! I am liking the sound of the new Britbox streaming service as I reckon there will be loads of material on there for viewing/chatting.
If you ever fancy a chat with us about Soldier, Soldier, please do join us Nickel. If not, your views on the next series of OG would be welcome, if you can bring yourself to watch it without CJ
.
