Yes there is always a lot of drinking at queens. You can’t take your own booze but lots of very expensive jugs of pimms and wine / champers floating around.
I’m going with 17yr old DD, we will manage to stay fairly sober I think

I love a drink as much as anyone - but I'd be buggered if I started drinking at something like Queen's - I'd be wanting to pee constantly!

And I find I don't really enjoy day time drinking much any more - gives me a n'eadache.

That's exactly the same as me magi I just can't drink during the day any more and then I wouldn't enjoy the tennis if I did. I could force down a Pimm's but that'd be about my limit.

Good interview with Petra Kvitova in the guardian today. She's a total hero really. I so want her to win another Slam one day.

I really like Kvitova- she definitely deserves to win more. I was a bit torn at the Australian open really- I wanted her to win, but I was also glad Osaka did, because she got to experience how winning a tournament is meant to feel.
