The Handmaid's Tale S3: Channel 4 pace * NO SPOILERS *

There are a couple of other threads about Season 3 of The Handmaid's Tale. Both of these threads include people who have already watched the first few episodes through streaming services.

Is there anyone else who will be watching it on Channel 4? The first episode will be shown at 9pm on Sunday 9 June.

I'd really like to have a thread where we can discuss it at the pace it's shown on Channel 4.

If this thread disappears off the bottom of page 1 by Sunday evening, I'll give it a bump.

Checking in!

Farmmum7 · 05/06/2019 18:41

I'll be watching it on channel 4 too!! I only saw the advert for it last night im excited!
I read the book a few months back it wasn't half as good as the series!

Dulra · 05/06/2019 18:45

Cool starts on irish tv tomorrow with 2 episodes back to back. Will follow uk pace thread though. Read a review on series 3 in the guardian today there were no spoilers in it just the writer's perspective on the focus of this series.
The director has said there won't be as much "torture porn" this series he said they'd listened to the feedback from series 2 and this was one area viewers found too much. I think though what you don't see can sometimes worse then what you do ifykwim.

OriginofSpecies · 05/06/2019 19:03

I'll be following UK pace thread.

On a different thread someone came up with the idea of having a new thread per episode, so each discussion is contained and hopefully avoiding too many spoilers (and people following Hulu pace coming on and saying "OMG Episode 6" Angry)

Yep I'll be watching at UK Pace. Can't wait to watch and read all you intelligent souls dissect it afterwards, reading the threads thoroughly enhanced it last time.

Faultymain5 · 06/06/2019 15:35

I will try to keep up with C4's pace. But in all likelihood, I'll see you all the other side and binge it.

ellenanora5 · 06/06/2019 21:39

Hi all, I'll follow the channel four pace, I'll be watching two episodes tonight but don't worry, I won't break the rules, I couldn't keep up with the threads last year because of the heavy hints from others who'd watched ahead, drove me mad.

That's a good idea OriginofSpecies, one thread per episode, that would work great Smile

Jeffter · 06/06/2019 21:41

I'm in.

Praise be, bitches

RedForShort · 07/06/2019 05:13

I've now watched the first two episodes on RTE. Shall wait to discuss in here.

historysock · 07/06/2019 05:29

Me... I'm excited but dreading it in equal measure-just because I found last season so harrowing!

UrsulaPandress · 07/06/2019 05:34

I thought my dd was making it up when she told me that a new season was starting!
