I remember those dresses. That's the kind of trim my mum would put on my clothes. She used to make all my stuff when I was little. I can't sew - can't thread a machine. I'm a disappointment .

Fizzy it was a banner saying "GO GREG " it was only a few bits of A4 paper stuck together, it wasn't even that massive. But one of those army guys (stewards) came and told us to put it away

Yet Henmaniacs were allowed to wave massive Union Jacks no questions asked. So unfair!!

Raahh I try but I'm crap at sewing as well. I think my mum made my dress like that as well. I definitely didn't inherit her skills!

Oh, my mother covers 3 piece sofas and makes curtains. She can make anything. (she gets it all from my gran, it was her job). They also knit.

But we are all left handed. It;s impossible for lefties to teach each other knit, we discovered, as they both do it in a very peculiar way .

My granny also used to make Stan-like massive teddies when I was little. I remember going to the markets with her for all the eyes and things. Her flat was quite a sinister place to stay, after dark. Lots of half made bears ..

I hate watching Konta serve.

Jane the mind boggles. Was it Konta who said she was going to play Scrabble on her day off? The interviewer was like "So, what are you going to do on your day off, Eiffel Tower, Louvre?" etc and she said she was going to play Scrabble! Fair enough I suppose

I like a game of scrabble but if I was in Paris I think I would be out and about seeing all the sights!

I had a Russian scrabble set once. Bought it from a bookshop on a school trip to London, to see Richard the Second.

But the Russian language is odd, and has some symbols that are used in a lot of words , but don't actually have a 'sound'.

And the box only had a few of those.

I donated it to my A level teacher . .

Both these matches are getting on my nerves.
