I last worked in a bank 10 years ago so any be out of date with info but back then for large withdrawals you had to put in a request. I can’t remember what the notice was but a couple of days at least because we had to make sure we had enough cash in branch so it would have to be ordered from our cash centre. £10k wouldn’t be a problem, (would still need notice though) £75k would. We wouldn’t have enough sitting around to just hand that out. It was also be subject to money laundering checks. We’d check the source of the money and need to know the reason for withdrawal and why it had to be in cash. For example, you couldn’t just say you were putting it down on a house because that can be done by bank transfer.

It was the money laundering thing I was wondering about She must have moved the money to an account then withdrew it soon after its just a bit far fetched !

Unless she withdrew it just under £5k (anything over £5k goes to money laundering team automatically) at a time but that would still look suspicious as she would have to visit a different branch each time and but the third withdrawal the bank would’ve noticed the pattern and asked questions. It would be very suspicious.

If she only had a few grand in the bag that the con man took, she can still settle the 3 k bill at the E hotel and get away.
But this is EE where things are rarely straight forward or even thought about! We're meant to believe she had all the stolen cash in one bag and is now destitute and trapped in a posh hotel with a toddler.
A place like that would also want ID ( I imagine)!so how did she sort that out so fast as well? It's all been a bit rushed really

I don't get why Adam doesn't ditch Honey and just live with Habiba. It's obviously a cultural problem and her family would disown her , but he is a professional and she seems feisty enough to to not worry about traditional views from Auntie and uncle etc.
