Rafa seems to be doing alright whilst I'm not watching though.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 15:44

I think I might be becoming a bit of a fan of young Caspar Grin.

What's 'Come On' in Norwegian? Grin

Raahh · 31/05/2019 15:46

kom igjen!

(similar to Swedish, which is kom igen).

Raahh · 31/05/2019 15:49

Well, Rafa is not hanging around.

He's 5-0 up.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 15:53

Goffin has avoided the bagel, then.

PrivateIsles · 31/05/2019 15:54

Raahh am loving the lingo!

Can't watch ATM but hoping to catch Stan later - vamos Rafa in the meantime!

Rafa's bakery is open for business again Grin

There were some funny "memes" as I believe the kids call them these days, of a photoshopped Rafa working in a bakery and serving up a tray of bagels Grin

Vamos Set to Rafa!

Grin

I'm glad Ruud has hung on in there, and given Federer a match.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:02

Right- not put Rafa on.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:02

*now

JaneJeffer · 31/05/2019 16:04

I hope Courier is going off for a nice long break.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:07

Why are we wasting time on this?

Just put Rafa on, ffs.

JaneJeffer · 31/05/2019 16:08

His left behind Grin

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:08

But the last 18 months/ 2 years have not been great for Goffin- in fact, since he was runner up to Dimitrov at the ATP finals.

Bit of a poisoned chalice, that ATP final.

Goffin was even playing a challenger recently.

PrivateIsles · 31/05/2019 16:18

Plus remember he got those two weird injuries - he fell on that thing (no idea what it's called) at the back of the court, and he was hit in the eye by a ball? Sad

Apologies if they're already harping on about this in commentary. Is courier on his break yet?! Grin

They’re just mentioning both things now Private - you should be a commentatorSmile.

I’ve had to switch to Eurosport - can’t bear to listen to JC droning on.

Keith has come through a tough one - 8-6 in the fifth set - he doesn’t make things easy for himself.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:50

My dad just rang- I have not really trained my family well.Grin

We have Fabrice in the commentary. I daren't watch Eurosport- it was Mac before. He is not Rafa fan, imo, so I can't listen to him commentate on his matches. If he is involved, he will probably drone on about the shot clock for half the match. Hmm.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:51

Oh, Keith does like a lengthy matchGrin. How many long matches did he play in Melbourne?

Raahh · 31/05/2019 16:52

Goffin took a while to get over his eye injury, didn't he? And the random trip over the back board.

Fabrice makes me laugh.

'Bye bye'.

Raahh · 31/05/2019 17:21

Well, David is playing a bit better this set, but we don't want a fight back.

I'm happy to have it wrapped up soon Grin.

kazzaD66 · 31/05/2019 17:23

I love Fabrice. He's another cheeky Frenchman with a twinkle in his eye, à la (allez allez) Henri Leconte, although not quite as Gallic as HL, no one is Grin

Raahh · 31/05/2019 17:26

FB has just told me that it is 10 years today that Nadal lost to Soderling at RG, because I very helpfully commented on it.

He won't be losing today. Well, hopefully not, despite David having a break.

kazzaD66 · 31/05/2019 17:27

Wow! Just started watching, only to see Goffin break Rafa. There is some serious hitting out there. Terrific shots.
