I'm going to hate it if it ends up with King Potato on the throne and Smug in the north. This season has been an utter pile of poop.

We think the ending will be broadly the same as GRRMs thought don't we? So whoever is on the throne in the show will be on the throne in the books (if they ever get finished)?

I'm currently rewatching s8, and am on the Battle of Winterfell. Should be finished & ready to watch it on NowTV at 3:30am.

Some fucker over on reddit kindly posted two of the main plot points from the 'leak' without warning, but I've still avoided the synopsis and am very excited about this last episode.

Ill probably be watching it at 3:20 im looking forward to it but also not. The rest of the season hasnt been great, nothings really happened in 3,1 was a black screen with an uninspiring ending, 1 was just a dragon burning everything. I wanna see how it ends but this could be the final nail in its legacy.

I can’t believe it’s the final episode today, after years of faithful watching (and reading!). I think I need to go back and re-read the books after this, as I haven’t read them for a few years so have forgotten some of the details of the book plot(s) where the books and tv series diverged, so I want to go back to the original plot lines now which have been sort of overwritten in my memory by the tv plots, if you see what I mean. Not ready to say goodbye to The World of Ice and Fire yet!

We’re actually changing our internet and Sky provider tomorrow (well, today now!) - Sky Atlantic is the one channel we won’t get anymore with our new package, so I insisted the change not happen until after the final GoT episode!

I can't believe I stayed up to watch this live (expat here, so it's actually 3am here), but it's going to be my last opportunity ever to do so and I've never done it before despite being a huge fan of the first few seasons.
